Sure sounds like Costa isn't going to make weight.

 

They've agreed to a catchweight bout. Rumor is 195 but the weight hasn't been confirmed yet.

I hate both fighters. I really want a double KO, but with the missed weight I've got to pull for Vettori. Costa's time as a relevant fighter is done, I think. He seems very mentally unstable and weak. That loss to Adesanya is going to haunt him forever. Going to 205 is not the move for him, either.

 

They agreed to 195 earlier today.

About 45 minutes ago, it was reported that there were still concerns that Costa would miss weight so it is now officially a 205 lb fight. This is insanity and horrible precedent by the UFC. Either Costa is severely injured and can't cut weight, cancel the fight...or he isn't trying to cut weight and should be cut from the organization. Win or lose, he should be cut. Vettori is only getting 20% of Costa's purse. I hope Vettori fucks him up. Costa is mentally broken.

 

There is nothing consistent about the UFC except that they do whatever they want and have no decency. The company will never grow up with DFW at the head of the table.

 

Costa looks healthy at 205. Maybe the UFC will let him fight middleweights there.

DFW claims Costa weighed 220-lbs.. If close to true, dude didn't even try to make weight. Coming in that heavy is outrageous and cowardly. And he cheated in the fight.

Adesanya absolutely shattered Costa. He's a broken man.
