Probably trying to alienate the fanbase so they can move.

I mean the whole move to ROOT was sold as getting the blazers into more households. While on paper that may be true, this obviously isn't it. Nobody watches tape delayed games in this day and age. Live sports are the only thing people still watch live.

I actually found out about this from a Seahawks blog...

Just looking over both teams schedules and I counted 33 games where there is a conflict within a 2 1/2 hour window. I'm not sure if 3 hours is enough time allotted for the full broadcast but just spit balling it. If not, then you could probably add another 4 or 5 to that number. I will say a big majority of those 33 are within an hour of each other, meaning it will be tape delay for sure.

Thank you for doing that. I was on the verge of pulling the trigger for Xfinity but since I live in WA, I will rethink my options. Thanks again!

Logged into my parents Xfinity account (they are in Vancouver) and I don't see anything called ROOT Plus on their channel guide but I might have missed it. Does anyone else in SWWA see this Plus as an option?

I'm really at a loss of how I'm going to watch games this season... I'm NOT purchasing Comcast...

So what was the outcome last night? How long was it delayed?

there sure appears to be substantial circumstantial evidence that the Vulcans/Seattle just doesn't give a shit at all about the Blazers as a team, just the Blazers as a money machine. From giving Olshey a blank check to trot out one mediocre roster after another, to the TV deals they sign, it all looks like fuck-you's to loyal Blazer fans

Per their website, Xfinity X1 125+ channel option has Root Sports only

In WA, Root Sports will show Blazer games when Kraken game is not playing simultaneously. Otherwise, Kraken gets priority and Blazer games gets delayed.

If Provider also has Root PLUS, then Kraken game will be on Root Sports and Blazer game will be on Root PLUS.

Xfinity X1 seems to only have Root Sports and no Root PLUS

All of this is why I didn't see my first Blazers season openener in over 2 decades. To pay Commiecast that much and then have games possibly delayed because I'm in Vancouver.....way closer to Portland than much of Oregon?

    Idiocy.

Has it been confirmed SW WA gets the Krak? OP says "most of Washington," you'd think Blazers would pull way more viewer's in the Couv area.

Just stream it. Don't suffer just because of the idiocy of some "this quarter" bean counters.

    Good News.

I emailed Root Sports NW about Comcast/Xfinity coverage in Vancouver. Below is their response.

    Hi Inconceivable –

I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to me. I can confirm that Xfinity/Comcast does plan to make ROOT SPORTS Plus available to subscribers in time for the first Blazers/Kraken conflict on 10/31. They are working on the technical backend now. I don’t know the exact timing for when it will show up on your guide so I’ll ask you to please be patient on that.

Once they light up Plus you will have access to watch both Trail Blazers and Kraken games live when they play head-to-head.

    Thanks,

    Leslie

I totally agree. The Blazers need to make sure of their availability to all their fans through streaming options, and make sure SW Washington has access for the complete game. I get the disruption in Seattle Metro, the Kraken are their team.
