That employers can't find workers has been put to the test and found to be bullshit. Emoyets offering decent pay and Covid protection are getting workers. People are less willing to work shit jobs for low pay, no benefits, and be exposed to Covid. Funny how no one says rich people are lazy and don't deserve another giant tax cut.

Add corrupt and I agree. Problem is, his party isn't calling him out, nor forcing him out over his blatant corruption. It goes to show what our government truly stands for these days.

It also shows where Joe Biden's priorities truly lie. If he can allow Joe Manchin to water down his own bill. He is no better than the corrupt little weasel he is cowing down to.

Agreed. My hunch is Biden agrees with Manchin, but is trying to save face with the progressives.

Manchin would not have so much clout were it not for the fact that every Republican is on board with blocking everything Biden wants, no matter how popular with voters. So people like Manchin and Sinema can effectively hold the president and 48 senators hostage.

My hunch is Biden agrees with Manchin, yet is simply trying to look progressive to Americans.

That's how politics is now days. There is no effort by pubs & dems to compromise on something, especially those that are extreme believers in their cause. They have become no different than piety in religion.
Doesnt matter who has the top job or congress the other side will do whatever it takes to disrupt and prevent any form of compromise, as it is their ticket to party heaven.

But ignorant people are ignorant. That's the way the system is set up. Dumb down the population so you can convince them to vote against their own interests.

The result is the current Trump and Biden dynamic.

We'll be happy to have a POS like Biden because at least he's not looking longingly at the power enjoyed by despots in Russia, China, North Korea, etc...

Interesting...since case after case of business, especially small business, are offering good wages or salaries, signing bonuses, incentives, safe working conditions.....are are scrambling for employees.

I have clients, neighbors, friends and family all dealing with the above scenario. So they would tend to disagree with the above.

My employer has all the employees we want. Because they pay reasonably well, offer flexible schedule, and offer good benefits.

They used to be cheap. Decided to start "overpaying" for better qualified employees and we've been having record years nearly every year since.

People don't want to be treated like shit for $15 per hour. If you can't find employees you are either offering a shitty career experience or a shitty compensation package.

Biden ain’t great. But he isn’t fundamentally changing the country, causing extremism and conspiracy theories that kill people, encouraging insurrections or fueling hate. Trump is the Fucking worst human our govt has ever seen and has caused more damage than anyone in our history. Fuck him and same to those who agree with him.

This doesn't seem to add up. How much have these friends of yours been collecting from unemployment, and for how long?

I believe unemployment benefits don't last forever (typically 6 months) and are set at a fraction of your prior earnings.
There were additional unemployment benefits from the federal government, but that's ended now.

So it's really hard to see how unemployment could be keeping people from taking good jobs, at least not for long.

Must be laughable medical benefits and embarrassing retirement pension. My wife and I both got retirement pensions that do not inlude cost of living increases so out pension is the same now as it was in the early part of this century and we goth had shitty unions that negotiated that. Boeing and Grandma's Cookies (aka Frito Lay, aka Pepsico.

Joe entered the presidency with no transition cooperation from the previous administration...had to deal with economic strife and rampant pandemic from day one plus the opposition party discrediting his nomination and having the Capitol attacked when he was being confirmed....he had to repair our relationships with our allies that had been insulted and abandoned for 4 years and deal with the Chinese trade war that the GOP put in place as well as the border situation that was a mess when he took office as well....and through all that has tried really hard to stimulate an infrastructure bill that will help the global climate crisis and get Americas power grid in shape.....Joe's not golfing and touring with the insult team dividing the country like Trump did.....Joe has taken a thankless job so that damage control from the previous grifters could be achieved....now we have a commision to hold these authoritarian anti democracy republicans accountable for treason and a coup on the capitol.......Joe didn't want to come out of retirement but as the most moderate of the dem candidates...he was the only guy who could pull independant votes from Trump and he did....more needs to be done but I find Joe's approach to problem solving to be coming from a good place unlike the previous guy. If he could have had a shot I'd have voted for Yang but America wasn't going to elect an Asian American in this MAGA spoiled culture....so I voted for Joe News flash...the country is no longer being governed by twitter

If they'll vote for a Black man they'll vote for anyone. A lot of Americans would consider a Black man with a law degree summa cum laude, president of the law review from Harvard to more suitable as a doorman or janitor.
