OK, I was wrong. I don't know what to think of the game, as I am unsure what to think of UCLA. I want to say it was a good win against a good team - but I'm just not that impressed with the job Chip has done . What the heck - they got the "W" and that's the most important thing.
I would expect with Penn State and Oklahoma State both losing to unranked teams, that the Ducks should jump up to number 8.
I'm a Duck fan but I just don't think they are a top-10 team. They were certainly top-10 in the 2nd and 3rd Q's today, but they just can't put together 4 good Q's. A lot of that is just due to the massive amount of injuries they've suffered (and they had two more critical injuries today). And a lot is due to inconsistent QB play from Brown. The good Brown is a very solid QB and an excellent game manager. The bad Brown is really bad also, I still have lots of reservations about Duryter's defense. UCLA converted a bunch or 3rd and 4th downs today by throwing to the flats behind the LB's. That's frustrating as hell to see, and it's been happening all year there is also the fact that Kayvon Thibodeaux is an absolutely dominant pass rusher
Good win! This team is growing up on the D & O line. I thought Brown responded well after last weeks boo’s. They had the best conference D against the run and I thought we moved it well on them.
Ducks just haven't learned how to really put a team away yet. For the most part, it hasn't bitten them yet, but they are letting inferior teams hang around. It is going to cost them again at some point.
