His ankle sprain must have been pretty serious because he's been out a long time and doesn't seem close to returning...even then he's not really practiced much with the team...hopefully when he gets back he's a quick study and can fit in seamlessly
If it's already steadily improving then he'll be back within a week or two not a month or two which is what would make me react like ^
Billups will reward players that work hard. He's one of the hardest working defenders on the floor and he's will aware of what the kid can do.
Hope he sits until this is healed very well. I don't want to see the Blazers have another case of what happened to Hood or myself.
The patellar tendon isn't thin like the the Achilles it's so thick it's almost unheard of that it would rupture ( it's so thick and strong that sometimes they take the middle third out of it to build someone a new ligament). He could further aggravate what's already going on or theoretically tear it (which would be really bad) but try to find an NBA player who ruptured their patellar tendon... I don't think it's happened.
Jeremy Lin and Andre Roberson had complete ruptures in the same season and it effectively ended both of their careers. But, I think there's been only one other case in NBA history so it's very rare. For example, Jaylen Brown has been dealing with it and he sat one game and was back against the Hornets.
Apparently not. He was signed August 10th. This CBS Sports article says he was injured the 3rd week of September: https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/b...ony-snell-sits-out-practice-with-foot-injury/
