    I think it's fine, but everyone's a critic. Especially on the internet.

    I don't see Ben playing anytime soon. He will have back tightness and other issues that prevent him from playing but try and force the 6ers to pay him.

    Wow, dude, not everything's about you. That was clearly a joke about Canzano.

    He sounds nothing like Jon Lovitz. He sounds more like explosive diarrhea.

    Anybody remember how the salary matching works in trades for players that just got an extension on a rookie contract? I think they might be BYC (base year compensation) or something.

    Shai Gilgeous-Alexander got a max extension. The Thunder likely have an epically horrible team, I don't see them being even 4 years away from contending. Seems like they could consider trading Shai for a bunch of picks and swaps. That would be the type of 3rd partner in a trade that Philly could want to involved for Ben Simmons.

    The way Nurk and Roco are playing a few games in they don't have much value over vet minimum guys. They seem like the type of player Presti would trade for with the idea to improve their value and get a pick for later. Tradenba.com shows this works;

    Philly: Shai, Favors
    OKC: Roco, Nurk, Elleby, 3 Blazers firsts, 2 swaps
    PDX: Simmons

    Blazers depth chart after the trade;

    Dame Simons
    CJ
    Norm Little
    Simmons
    Zeller Nance

    I know, it's a shame that SGA isn't playing on a real team. They really need to do him a solid.

    OKC can get a much better return for SGA than that.

    Better than three firsts plus Roco and Nurk? You have him rated as better haul than Harden/Paul George levels of good?!

    I don’t think they need more picks. They need young talent.

    they tried to trade SGA for Cade before the draft, so I’d assume that’s what they would look for. Blue chip player 21 or under + picks or players they can trade for picks (like nurk/roco)

    Well sure they'd like to get a high upside #1 overall pick. None are available, and their more likely than anyone to get the 2022 one themselves.

    The Blazers 2026-2028 picks have as much high lotto pick potential as anything OKC can likely get. As others said; its similar to Harden and Paul George trade returns. SGA impact right now is a total waste on OKC so it makes sense to trade him for more future talent that is years away from contributing. That is the definition of a draft pick asset.

    When I look at some of the trade proposals here, I can't help but think back on a little history. When the Bucks traded Jabbar, they got 2 young players and 2 FRPs.

    SGA is worth 2 starters and 3 FRPs? And we are giving that up not for ourselves, but so Morey can save face on the Simmons situation. :banghead:

    It may be worse than that. They are going to have to take back a lot of salary to make a deal work...imagine if they get stuck taking an albatross contract like Love or Westbrick!

    their best bet may really be to try and convince Ben to rethink his trade request.

    With Anfernee's emergence, I think CJ for Simmons makes more sense than ever. There's so much duplication in skills with CJ, but Simmons gives us so much that we just don't have.

    Read an interesting take on the situation. The gist of it is that Morey is still embarassed over the hosing he took in the Paul/Westbrick trade and he would rather weather the BS of the current situation than make another bad deal. For all his professed love of analytics, this is a situation where he is incapable of being objective.

    Pride goeth before the fall. (insert your own pithey saying here :devilwink:)
