Play Kakko on PP1 over Panarin, that is awesome. You guys are hot stuff.

The idea was Kakko in place of Strome on PP1 I thought.

He’s retarded. Apparently he’s happy with having a power-play that is never elite. Strome and Kreider are not first power-play players

It's definitely a mistake having Strome on the first PP unit. Maybe Gallant wants a secondary C out there for draws? I don't know. He is out of place on that unit though and putting Kakko in his spot is the move. As for Kreider...he's the only guy scoring on PP at the moment. PP2 should be Strome, LaF and uhhh....shit...I guess that's another glaring hole....no scoring depth.

Plus other than Fox they don't have anybody who can hit the net consistently from the blue line. Trouba shoots like he's aiming for Randalls Island.

We are all smarter than our coaches every year. Dolan should hire this message board to coach the team...LOL.

Every year Chuck sucks off the coach who ends up not making the playoffs. Great philosophy. If you look at every other team in the league who drafts a forward very high, when they are on the NHL roster they feature them prominantly an totally commit to developing them. The Rangers are the only team in hockey that refuses to do this. The number 1 way you develop a young scorer is by putting him on the first PP unit.

If you are talking about me, no I don't suck off any coach. I just don't knock every coach and call for them to be fired shortly after they take the job, I don't question just about every move they make, and I certainly don't pretend to know more than every coach as you pretend to.

So far this coach is not elevating Kakko and Lafreniere, same as the last coach. This coach is playing guys like McKegg and Hunt, same as the last coach. And is not playing guys like Gauthier, same as the last coach. But ah yes we know better than the coaches do because we do research. That might be your best line ever, and that's a big statement with some of your winners.

You have to laugh. Come on it is funny stuff, it really is.

Not as funny as pretending to not be the same person who used to go by a different user name.
What is frustrating is this coach doesn't seem to be taking that much different of an approach as the last coach and we all know how that worked out for the Rangers with him. Yes, the Rangers are 5-3-1 but it's indisputable that is solely because of Igor's incredible performance so far. This team can't score on the PP outside of Kreider deflecting pucks into the net. They continue to be a below average face-off team, they continue to struggle with puck possession, they continue to pass up scoring chances. When they start playing the more talented teams in the league a lot of their shortcomings are going to be exposed.

The FO issue is on Drury IMO. It was a big need, and he decided to ignore it. I think that plays some role in their puck possession issues also since they lose FO's all the time and never start with the puck.

Overall I still think this is a flawed team when it comes to being a lock playoff team, and being a legit contender. They can make the playoffs but no way are they a lock it in for sure. I just don't see it.

It can't be disputed that the Rangers have made little to no effort to develop Kakko and Lafreniere as cornerstone players. Lafreniere's line is a fucking joke. Thus why there is little to no hope that this team will ever be a serious contender. Barron was by far the best faceoff off guy in the pre-season. How was he rewarded? Useless pile of shit McKegg plays over him as well as Hunt. I expected more from Gallant who had a reputation as a good coach. This is where if we had a real GM he would solve the problem. He would trade McKegg, Hunt and Gauthier immediately and give the coach no other option but to play Barron.
