Just so long as it's not John Nash or Steve Patterson

Well, he did really help the Blazers once by gifting them a high pick for Sebastian Telfair, so I guess we owe him

It's baffling this take still exists. Like its just okay for bosses to treat you like shit and the blame falls on the employee because they aren't strong enough?

Like, do you realize how stupid and insensitive that sounds? Do you also realize people are in different lots in life and just can't quit jobs because they have families to feed and mortgages to pay?

    Just a really insensitive take.

I do not doubt he can be an ass -- most bosses have those moments and now they are saying over his career in Portland but is this soft ass people whining since we live in a world where you look at someone wrong they get offended and want to cancel you ?

If he is guilty and I mean guilty of doing stuff that really is toxic and such then by all means he should be fired BUT if this turns out like i mentioned someone ( or a few someone's) get a little hurt over him raising his voice etc then file this under Big pile of BS and let's move on.

No, McGowan is president of Blazers and Seahawks. Vulcan is the company that owns both of them and many other of PA's businesses and holdings.

Do you realize none of this is actually confirmed? It’s a article from Jason Quick of all people lol. Stated it says “the nature of the allegations are not currently known”

What happens if the Blazers look into it and they don’t find anything to confirm those reports? You guys going spin it on the Blazers office trying to play cover up, in other words there is no winning with some of you.

There is a way bigger story in the NBA right now of the owner of the Suns under investigation for racism and etc. that makes this story pale in comparison.

I wonder for how long we will tolerate people having this line of thinking. It's not ok, wake tf up.

Not everyone is strong mentally and those that are weaker shouldn't just quit their jobs. This is disgusting.

This! If they find some things that warrant him getting canned then fine, but when it’s coming from Jason Quick, I’ll wait to see what comes of it first.

Well doesn’t seem to matter the date of the article any longer.
This is all over the morning news.

theres difference between sexual harassment, racism, physical violence, insults or humiliation, which are the things im against obviously, but if your boss is a jerk who likes to yell at workers or be unpleasant in some other way, i dont think thats something someone should get fired for... sure, thats not nice either and we should treat people with respect, regardless of their race, religion, age, gender, nationality, social class etc, but some things you shouldnt take seriously

from what we know about this story is that neil olshey acts like a jerk, but thats not something he should get fired for... unless we hear something serious

"Later Friday, Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes reported that multiple Blazers employees have alleged a toxic and hostile work environment, with staffers subjected to intimidation, profane tirades and other bullying throughout Olshey’s tenure. Both reports cited unnamed sources."

"the firm began interviewing employees at the team’s front office off-site this week, with several staffers expressing relief because of the investigation after 10 years of mistreatment leading to mental and physical stress, sources said."

"multiple employees assert they have had multiple grievances with his treatment of staff in the workplace, sources said.
Furthermore, several staff members raised concerns with the organization’s alleged “mishandling” of the situation when video coordinator Zach Cooper died in April 2020, sources said.

While Oshley hasn't been up to par yet.. I am terrified what the team is with just her making decisions. We would of had Becky Hammond as our coach if it was just her way. I want Brent Berry!

if all you have to go on are Olshey press conferences and interviews, the notion that Olshey could be an asshole to employees and create a toxic work environment seems pretty credible. Is that enough to justify a firing? maybe

of course I believe you don't have to dig that deep to justify firing Olshey. His resume in Portland offers plenty of reason
