Wouldn't he lose some of his contract if he resigned?

    Good post, excellent points.

I'm fine with the Blazers keeping CJ, an NBA team needs 6-7+ guys playing big minutes, CJ is certainly an NBA above average starter, and could fit on a contender. But he can't do it alone with Dame.

Not acquiring another above average starter is a major problem with Neil's decade of management here. Dame needs help and had shit starters, especially forwards. Dame is now on the wrong side of 30 and declining, we wasted many years with starters being Aminu, Harkless, Turner, Meyers, Whiteside; and terrible trades with Afflalo, Barton, Vonleh. Lost luxury tax flexiblity with Crabbe, Nicholson, Ezeli, Varajao contracts. Whiffed on free agents that all basically sucked anyways; Spencer Hawes, Roy Hibbert, Greg Monroe, Kanter on a max deal, Parsons.

Yeah I agree it could be negotiated; but my response was to why it could be a big reason we haven't seen Neil resign, even if he doesn't want to be here.

Not defending Olshey; just don't like the way he will be going out. I can tell you, from personal experience, that in an investigation like this, there will be people who hold an old grudge or just want attention, and they will literally just make shit up.

How about this. Dame demanded help over the summer.

Now he's pissed. He knows the situation and has given the team a mandate to get rid of Olshey.

    Dame is firing Olshey.

If Dame wanted him gone, they would've just canned his ass. The team is worth 2+ billion, they can afford to pay off the remaining bit of his contract IF it pisses off the best player to ever play for the team (esp if he wants to stay).
