im referring to the lack of an aggressive move like what MIL did when they got Holiday. High risk high reward. Neil has been historically very conservative, and that's been my biggest criticism of him.

    Scratch CJ off.

CJ was candidly speaking about changing schemes and practicing more on his podcast today. Seemed like he is completely bought in.

It's gotta be Roco. Dude has been like our 9th best player this season. Terrible on both ends.

if there is a malcontent on the roster, it would just about have to be a veteran whose role had been reduced

    * RoCo's minutes and FGA's have been reduced, but not significantly. He is handling the ball much less this season. And his defense seems to be unfocused at times

    * Nance has gone from over 31 minutes to 18 minutes and his shots have been cut nearly in half

    * Zeller has gone from 21 minutes to 15 and his shots have dropped from 7 to 3. That's pretty significant. He did sign for the minimum but maybe he did that with assurances his role would be bigger

    * CJ is shooting as much as he ever has and apparently isn't being held very accountable for his MeJ tendencies. But he's been the front-and-center candidate in every trade rumor that hasn't been about Dame. That would make buying-in a real leap of faith. I'd also think he knows full well that Olshey has always been firmly in his corner, and that Olshey may be gone

this makes me worry that Olshey won a power struggle with McGowan

or it could be that McGowan is the fall-guy for the Root Sports fiasco

Supposedly Hankins was the architect of the Roots Sports deal. And I wouldn’t worry about an Olshey power struggle…my guess is Chris got implicated or it’s gonna look and as President he let this go for 10 years.

they're really going to drag this along, aren't they? the outcome is all but known, why prolong it?

    this is what haynes said.

Judicious use of those picks, yes.

But since it took him something like 5 1st round picks plus Ariza and DJJ to get Zach, Cov and Nance, not sure he knew how to be properly aggressive.

if they find even a few people alleging misconduct and find it to be true, what reason is there to prolong the inevitable? It then becomes a question of if they deem whatever they found to be grounds for firing. Slippery slope from there from the PR perspective.

Comes back to my underlying question about the motive for the investigation. If it's simply to improve the workplace environment, he should be gone asap. If it's to protect themselves from having to pay out his contract and potential litigation against wrongful termination, then I can see them taking longer. Then it appears the whole reason for this was strictly financial, which might be another PR hit considering they just ate the Stotts contract.
