if they get simmons, it doesnt matter really, as simmons wouldnt be there for one season

they can move smart next season and continue to build the team, but anyway, brown & simmons trade would be good for both parties, for the celtics cause they need a point guard (i think i read somewhere that he wants to play a point guard) and also cause tatum & brown are a bad fit, neither is a playmaker and theyre not willing passers, even smart called them out publicly... and for the 76ers, cause they would get a scorer in brown, but im not sure if he can play defense

given shams charania reported it, its probably true and it means brad stevens realized that tatum & brown wont work and is willing to do something about it, unlike neil olshey whos still happy with dame & cj mccollum, but there might be one little difference and its that celtics are trying to create a championship team and blazers are just happy being a playoff team and dame & cj mccollum duo proved to be good enough to take the team to the playoffs every year

Yeah, there is that too. I haven't followed Boston closely, but I recall some tension on Brown's part about Tatum getting more shot attempts. While Simmons likes to get his touches, he's not going to be upset over Tatum getting more shots. Simmons could be a much more complementary co-star to Tatum, if things work out.

Even if you do, and even if he is, that's not the way to win back the player.

Citing John Wall as an example of how ownership should act is going to turn off every owner in the league. "You should pay my client $40M+ per year not to play for your team!"

A multi-year thing? Are they really willing to throw away a prime year of Embiid?

What a mess, Simmons hasn’t stepped on the court still this season, the Sixers only want to trade him for a said 30 players they have a list of…this is sure going to end well for both parties lol

Wonder if Kyrie Irving would play for the 76ers. Irving should fulfill Morey's desire for a true star, he can play in Philadelphia without a vaccine shot and Simmons would fit in pretty well with two perimeter scoring superstars (allowing him to occupy more of the paint when he doesn't have the ball) plus he'd upgrade their defense. If Irving is willing, this trade seems like the most obvious one.

At least they've gotten a sense of reality back, thinking they're getting Damian, Harden or Beal for him is just super unrealistic. Superstars are rarely traded for other superstars. Especially if one desperately wants to leave a team.

The last 2 trades involving Westbrook, he wasn't traded for a superstar (Wall is good, but he's not a superstar). Harden wasn't traded for a superstar. Chris Paul was only traded for a superstar ONCE (Westbrook), but at that point I'm not sure he was a Superstar anymore.

Reality just isn't in their corner.

They’re also currently riding a 5 game losing streak, most likely 6 after tonight.

Went from 1st to 8th seed lol

Simmons is fading into obscurity. Will he ever really once again be an all-star?
