I know Mr. Literal can't comprehend these nuances, but I referred to impact not just status on the team. They were trying to rebuild around Kwame (oops) and Jordan was a star in name only. He'd of been a #2 if the team was any good.

there are 2 stretches of Blazer basketball that are potentially going to be really ugly. I mean, uglier than they're currently playing.

From Jan 13th - Feb 2nd, they have 10 out of 12 on the road, with 1 day off between most games. They do have back to backs, but they're at home.

And from March 2nd - March 21st, they have 9 of 10 on the road.

Combined, from Jan 13th through March 21st, they have 21 out of 30 games on the road.

Totally untrue. Jordan was absolutely #1 on that team. Not in name only. People forget how good he still was those years. Saying Wiz we’re building around Kwame is like saying GS is building around Wiseman.

40 games split 25/15 home road is 37.5% which is a 50% increase from where the lakers currently are. Pretty significant

So what he’s trying to tell us is that PRIME Curry isn’t as good as last season of his career MJ. Good Lord Almighty!

Grant is somehow now on the level of Beal and Dame? Insanity.

after 3 Q's the Cavs led the Warriors, in Cleveland, 81-68. In the 4th Q, the Warriors outscored the Cavs 36-8 winning by 15. Warriors went on a 17-0 run to start the Q

collapse of the year so far

Warriors are so good this year and Klay will make them better. How did Hollinger miss this?

The fit with Tobias Harris is a little weird, but I guys they're both tweeners so maybe it could work. I wish we could expand that to a 3-way and get back Grant. On 12/15, Philly can trade Danny Green. I'd love something like this.

CJ/Cov/Killian Hayes (and a Detroit pick?) to Philly
Jerami Grant/Danny Green/filler from Detroit to PDX
    Simmons to Detroit

    Lillard/Simons
    Powell/Green/Simons
    Little/Grant
    Grant/Nance
    Nurkic/Zeller/Nance

That's a 9 man rotation that is a lot bigger, tougher, and more physical than what we're rolling out now. Also, I think it would be easier to give guys defined roles on offense and defense. Powell gets to be a SG, Grant gets to be a second option and defend big wings, Little is the energy guy, Simons is the 6th man scorer (who gets 25 minutes a night), Nance is the glue guy (and also gets 25 minutes a night).

Philly gets a lot of upside back, along with backcourt scoring. Plus I think CJ and Covington work best in a half court scheme which suits Embiid best.

Detroit gets to take a swing on Ben.

Shades of the old Warriors, where 20 point deficits suddenly disappeared in some monstrous run.

I don't think that makes us better. I don't understand trading a better offensive player and a better defensive player for him. How does that help either?

Grant is worse, but at least comparable offensively to CJ, and arguably more complementary with Dame.

Green is equal to if not better than Covington on both ends of the floor, and provides defense at a position of greater need.

Also provides more size/length by allowing Norm to slide to the 2 and bringing Nas into the starting lineup.

Jerami Grant is NOT a Morey-type player.

I'd guess the only reason they'd want Grant over CJ is that Grants contract ends after next season.

He's a worse shooter, and his defense is marginally better than CJ's (which is bad). Grant is a good player on a bad team, which tends to not translate well to teams that are good. He's just like his father, Harvey. Good player on a shitty team, shitty player on a good team.
