No, LeBron has outrage directed towards the injustices affecting the demographic he identifies with.

What does that have to do with him being fake? Dude is a billionaire, good on him for dishing out some tax break charity. He’s still a phony.

Edit: Sorry I didn’t realize you were a Lebron homer. No need to reply.

So to all the people on the streets protesting for the last two years for racial equality, i would think this type of stance would sting.

I think people who feel oppressed would thank Kanter 100% for his efforts. He is the ONLY one speaking out in a sport that was suspended due to players who boycotted… until their pay check’s were gonna go away.
If anyone wants to call out the hypocrisy, it would be of the league shutting down aNd then starting back up again to not lose more money. if the league aNd “lbj led” protesting players were serious, they would not have started playing again until shit becomes equal. But instead, cried out for a week aNd then went on like business as usual. So lbj could get a ring….

Kanter cried out for a week and has continued to cRy out without wavering…

    Who deserves more respect?

My job has its days but I would hardly compare it to slave labor. Also I'm not the one constantly in the news about my views on social justice and equality.

Let’s say I know a lot about the black community; let’s say I took the time to study that community specifically and I know those issues really well. Should I suddenly start speaking on issues I don’t know really well? Or… should I stick to what I know?

Also, social justice and equality in the United States is what LeBron James is working on. Being in the news to help issues local to him is a good thing. Why the hell do you want LeBron talking about Chinese politics?

Social justice and equality outside the United States is called empire building. It’s where we drone strike and “rebuild” communities. I would say that’s much worse than slave labor since we murder civilians. Like when we drone strike an area, wait for emergency services, then strike again.

You know those little aboriginal tribes that eat people and shit? Maybe Kanter should speak out on them too so the American government can go wipe them out because they aren’t being “just and equal”.

Really weird how Americans are obsessed with politics in other countries; look in the mirror and fix your own hair before fixing everyone else’s around you.

Kanter is a complete tool. Focus on the issue at hand, not on the actions of another man. Fan girl behavior.

Going after LeBron here is totally justified. The fact that he not only turns a blind eye to it but vocally supports a regime and system that produces massive inequality because it benefits him and lines his pockets is just about the textbook definition of hypocrisy.

Again, no one would care if he wasn't constantly pressing his woke views in everyone else's face. Much respect to Enes for bringing attention to this nonsense.

those tribes hold a large market in the world trade do they?????They are suppressing how many of their workers??

    numbers matter.
So Black lives matter but only in the united states huh?

How did slavery and racism come to this country? It was brought here from other parts of the world. As free and racially/culturally diverse as this country is, we arent ever solving issuss here without the globe solving its issues universally.
But with all piles of issues, you start with the biggest, most impactfull one first and widdlw the pile down.

whats a bigger drag on the future world progress? China slave labor or tribal cannibalism??

sorry people have to start somewhere…

but hey. Because he isnt able to target everyone at once he should just shut his trap right?

ill add when the united states businesses are supporting a country by using their slave labor to produce goods sold in this country, the people of this country have a responsibility.

kanter isn't railing on those countries. He is railing on American shoe companies taking advantage of thosw countries slave labor. Thats an issue here in the united states.

should we then use your analogy for state to state?
Human are humans and those being oppressed and used as slaves deserve a voice, no matter where it comes from.

What is glaring to me is how many people are focused on trying to poke holes in Kanters stance instead of joining him and speaking out against the oppressions he is addressing…

    Very telling indeed…

This forum has many hypocrites. They wont understand this…

its only woke news if it fits their narrative. If not, hey lets just turn a blind eye. Hey lets shut him up…he is creating waves…hey lets cancel him.

yeah i know first hand how that feels around here…
    Good luck.

The way our economy is set up, it's almost impossible to not buy something with components from China. By your logic I can never speak out against them.

It means he speaks out of both sides of his mouth. When it’s time to be woke he says one thing, when it’s time to be a company man he says another. I really have no clue what LBJ really thinks or cares about but my guess is money. I will give Lebron and his handlers credit, he has done an excellent job over the years of walking that line in the middle, never leaning too far either way to make enemies on either side of any topic. He’s basically just a fake talking head in my opinion. It’s kept him out of trouble but some might argue with his platform he could have accomplished a lot more change, if that’s something he actually wanted.

I don't blame LeBron for his stance. He had been extremely successful and made so much money without doing something dumb with it.

Just to expand, should the clippers never said anything about Donald Sterling? He was paying them. He was racist but didn't act on it. China is imprisoning an ethnic group because of their religious beliefs are a "threat" to the Supreme power of the country.

That OBVIOUSLY is not what he wants to do….and so be it. Why do you care his stance on political topics? If he wants to voice his opinion he can, or he doesn’t have to. Doesn’t make him “fake or phony”. Why would he put his brand in jeopardy to appease people like you with his daily opinion on all things politics?
