Being less populated affects infection and death rates in a negative way.

Wait, negative as in lower numbers, or negative as on bad?

If a state has a lower population, one death or infection will count more when considering rates.

The data for cases, hospitalizations, and deaths per 100K population gets around that issue. Scroll down to the maps at this link:

yeah that person tries to “call me out” on superficial trivialities and semantics but then loves making generalizing all encompassing statements like this.

You've followed along to all this the past 2 years, posted in here countless times, and then say this? Have you missed how often things are posted in rates/per? And how they're rarely ever posted in a total percentage of population?

100 people in Oregon infected is the same rate as 1000 infected in California.

I think the point was that in less densely populated areas there is more distance between people and less contact hence less infection. I've heard a multitude of epidemiologists stress this and it makes sense.

Just lost my 4th friend/family member to this. Didn’t feel the vaccine was “good for him”. Now he’ll start rotting soon.
Anybody else want to start updating their personal death toll on here?

I've been lucky. I've only known two people to get infected and only one of them was vaccinated although both are now. No one has died on my watch not even those with seriously compromised immune systems in my dialysis unit. There have been some deaths in the VA hospital but I have no idea who they were.
I'm supposed to get an operation to replace the peritoneal dialysis catheter that got infected and removed but there seems to be some hang up. I'm wondering if it's because the hospital is flooded with Covid-19 infected patients taking up hospital resources. That would piss me off since it's virtually preventable.

    Didn't say that.
Safe means for vast majority side effects minimal, mostly transitory sore arm. Nothing in medicine, or life, is 100% safe. Not even aspirin. But compare vaccine to disease. More than 700,000 dead of Covid vs 0 from vaccine.
Effective means vastly reduced chance of infection and, in the cases where infection occurs, vastly reduced chance of serious illness.
It's not difficult. Unless you have a political agenda that requires denial.
    Hmmmmm
