The Salt Lake City Stars (1-4) lost a heartbreaker at the buzzer to the Stockton Kings (4-1) at Bruin Arena, 122-119.

Louis King's fadeaway three-pointer swished through the net as time expired to cap off a thrilling overtime comeback for the Stockton Kings as both teams lit up the scoreboard on Tuesday night.

The Stars were led by Jazz assignment player Elijah Hughes who torched the King's defense for 39 points while shooting 8-11 from beyond the three point line. Fellow Jazz assignment players Udoka Azubuike and Jared Butler added double-doubles with Azubuike tallying 14 points and 13 rebounds while Butler's night included 14 points, six rebounds and 10 assists.

Jahmi'us Ramsey paced the Kings with 39 points of his own on 17-31 shooting from the field. Louis King added 14 points including his buzzer beater and Marcus Graves chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Former Utah State big man Neemias Queta scored in double figures in his return to the beehive state adding 10 points, seven rebounds and five blocks.

The teams traded blows throughout the second half that included nine lead changes.

Elijah Hughes caught fire for the Stars in the second half scoring 27 of his 39 points in the final two quarters including 17 in the third. Not to be out-done, Jahmi'us Ramsey scored 23 of his 39 points in the second half as well for Stockton including 13 in the final frame.

The Stars led 110-101 with 2:00 minutes left in the game, but the Kings were able to answer with a 9-0 run to force overtime, all from the hot hand of Ramsey.

The teams continued to trade leads in the overtime period as the Stars were able to tie the game at 119-119 on two clutch free-throws from Butler with 7.5 seconds left.

After a timeout, the King's got the ball to their two-way forward King who hit a 29-foot fadeaway three-pointer at the buzzer.

The two teams will meet again on Friday night at Bruin Arena for a rematch of Tuesday's overtime thriller.
