    what do you do, fire Billups at the end of the season?
    I never imagined the team would be this bad. Lillard is at an all time low.
    My only suggestion is to completely nuke this team. Save only Nas, Ant, Powell, and Nance. Everyone else just fucking go already. 70 mil a year for those two?
    fuck me. Either Dame is a) done in the league, b) wants out so bad he is mailing it in, or c) is seriously injured. There are NO other options. Portland would be better off with just Norm, Ant, and DSJ, easily.

    That’s variance not falling off. It’s normal ups and downs all players experience. That’s why he’s up again a few games after you said that. He’ll probably have some bad games in his next ten.

    It isn't much of a comparison. Dame has a body of work that completely outshines what he has done this season.

    However......

    ....it is a decade of a body of work which makes him that much older. At some point, there will start to be a decline.

    Not every player is the same. Curry could have a longer prime than Lillard.

    I'm not ready to say Lillard is experiencing irreversible decline. If I had to bet on "the major factor" it would be that the abdominal strain that he was able to play through when he was younger and has either gotten worse over time or his ability to play through it has weakened as he's gotten older.

    Didn't say it was now, but at some point it is inevitable. And to pick the one exception so far in Curry almost proves the rule. It is much more likely there is a decline than there is to maintain like the rare exception. It's why I have so despised the last 5 years. To me it was a complete waste to pair Dame with CJ and that has proven out. It sucks that has been the case, but they haven't been anywhere near being a legit contender.....no real growth.

    Just time going by.
