Last year, the complaint was that we couldn’t beat the good team. This year, we’ve blown out 5 WC playoff teams from last season. Beating Utah would leave us with only Dallas for the clean sweep.
You can't be serious. Trying to make the argument that Portland is a good team because of 5 wins? You just can't be serious. Portland, right now, is as bad as any team in the league. John Wall is playing better than Lillard. They are a complete laughing stock. The joke of the league with that amazing 1-10 on the road. Seriously, they are the butts of jokes.
With a bunch of home games coming up against crappy teams, don't let the improved record after 30 games fool you. This team goes on a ruin every year. They might be 4-5 games over .500 in a couple weeks.... fools gold.
I have been wanting to post this but I didn’t have the faith in the injury gods not to make me pay dearly for it.
I try to not go off of speculation and just the raw facts of who is available to play and who isn't. Reports are Dame has been dealing with the abdominal injury for 4+ years as well. I'm not saying he's 100%, but he was healthy enough to put up 39 the other night.
Obviously I don't believe in jinxing, but if I did, I certainly wouldn't have said anything! Our roster has a few guys who I'd expect to get injuried every year, so when that happens, it will just be the norm. Until then, I'd say we've been lucky.
I think @bobf meant that it's easy to turn into "bad news" that Portland isn't doing any better than last year despite being significantly healthier than last year.
For sure... I'm trying to enjoy it while it lasts! Above average health has been a key in our successful seasons with this roster.
