By having a more well adjusted, better educated work force and lower rates of disease, crime, and poverty.

So a reduction in needed funds for the police force, medicare, low income help(welfare and food stamps for the poverty stricken), and education?

how do these things get improved without increased funding and where would those funds come from?

Im not trying to argue. Im honestly confused.

You may have to increase funding initially. Just like building a bridge.

See i think this is a concern for many who don't believe the government is as efficient with the funds they already receive.
Many dont believe the government allocates funds and spends optimally and efficiently. Wouldn't that only be exacerbated with increased funding?

I will say this though. tax loopholes for the rich could likely go a long ways to offset this increased spending without increasing taxes, but i don't have a clue what percent that would help

Do you have any idea how long Republicans have been making this claim about inefficiency and yet when they get in power nothing changes except they've squandered on yet another tax cut where it has been shown in black and white there is no trickle down and no improvement whatsoever has been made improving people's lives, except for the ueber rich, nor any infrastructure has been improved.

Free CC or VoEd education is fine for those that finish HS. I would not want to pay for a kids 2 years at community college to learn what he should have in HS. So if they graduate from HS then its cool to pay for Community College or VoEd.

Yeah, you could certainly increase funding enough by closing tax loopholes for those earning over, say, $400k per year. In fact, that's what most "progressives" have proposed to fund these programs.

Absolutely. You don't just throw money at kids who can't pass their classes.

If they don't have a high enough GPA then you'd guide them toward an apprenticeship program, which would also be fully funded.

And deficit spending has INCREASED under "conservative" policies. It's a total farce.

Some countries have a testing system that funnels non academic students toward art or trade secondary schools and others into academia....here we sort of let them figure it out themselves and if you have enough money non of that matters...you can buy your way into college. Trade schools are an excellent alternative to academic degrees. I believe scholarships for our most talented students is what makes us a great nation. The poorest kid could become the most gifted professional if money didn't separate talent from access. Trades should be attractive to talented young people....too many people work at jobs they don't like at all or have no talent for. Teachers are like talent scouts if they are good teachers...they know who the naturals are.

This isn't a partisan issue. I know many people on both sides not happy with congress and our government. Both sides have had standoffs that resulted in inaction.

This is about government efficiency which transcends which party is in office.

Necessary services are best handled by government. That much is clear.

Load display items at stores with an explosive. When its stolen, detonate the package.

It can be a mixture of UV powder and other chemicals to "mark" the perps and ruin the item.

Like an ink pack in a bank? I like it.

Deactivate and remove it when item is bought.

That's going to take alot of ink though

I feel like I have heard something like this being used somewhere. At least the exploding part to destroy the item so it's useless.

Don't have to post bail for lower level felonies and misdemeanors. Basically a catch and release.

Stores used to have those on clothes back in the 90s. You'd see these fools with ink stains on their JNCO's back in the day.

An updated version of that. Something to mark them, their getaway vehicle, etc and make the item unsellable.

I read that these upscale retailers would rather burn their merchandise versus having it go on sale, as it devalues their items.
