Would James Jones make sense? He was doing good things in the valley of the sun before deciding to move on from all things sarver.
Some nice role players or bench contributors. But he hasn't put real impact starter talent around Dame. That is the decade long swing and a miss.
my post was in reference to scouting by Cronin (and olshey, etc). Scouting was never the problem. It was the lack of risks taken from a trading perspective, and sticking to HIS GUYS for too long. but the team has made it clear he wasn't fired for the on-court performance. it was for his conduct behind the scenes. Make it seem like they were mostly fine with what he put together on the court. That worries me.
I think Barry is the betting favorite with Prince a little behind. I trust Fischer more than any media guy not named Woj when it comes to the Blazers, maybe even more so now that Olshey is gone. Haynes sources are the players, doubt they know much if anything about candidates. This isn’t something Dame will be consulted about (nor should he) imo.
I would not mind if they get a young GM and bring in Ainge in the Jerry West ( advisor ) role since Ainge left the GM job cause of health reasons or something if I recall but Ainge as the GM I am not for cause he might be old school thinking and his time has prolly past.
