who's changing the subject? You have a conversation with him and now I'm entering one with you. No one is changing anything. Or are you trying to say he is the only single issue voter you have a problem with and no others? And if you do have an issue with others, refer back to my first reply to you… I didn't change the subject i asked about consistency regarding the post you made. Nice job avoiding my questions though.
So yeah... I don't think that's a good thing. And there isn't enough regulation on that front to prevent it. So, as a policy, I don't think we should rely on them or direct people to use them.
Pointed out to me? Glad y'all can read my mind. I had various other reasons including stance on Israel, replacing Obamacare, taking on China, immigration concerns, among others.
I simply said that I support Mercy Multiplied, just as I've said I support The Woodson Center. In some cases, for the same reasons.
I get that. And you're free to do so. I'd prefer to have policy which removes the need for such institutions, rather than policy which causes problems that push more people toward them.
well sure. You can always deny it like you are but it doesn’t minimize my point in the original post. But then i have to remember you avoid the tough topics due to lack of interest. Has nothing to do with exposing a double standard…. ill let you get back to ABM and your double standard posts to him… When you are ready to man up snd discuss that double standard i brought up, let me know. Im here…
Improved access to education and healthcare, improved social safety net, improved court and judicial system with enhanced focus on restitution and rehabilitation.
I'm for all of that. But, truly, what does that have to do with educating girls/women/boys/men on the physical/emotional/spiritual ramifications of getting an abortion?
I know men love to think women are stupid and don't know what pregnancy is until they mansplain it to us. I also know every reputable clinic informs women on all their choices. We don't need lectures from anti choice Christian Taliban.
Sex Ed covers all of that. And it can cover it very thoroughly. Doctors and health clinics can pick up where sex ed leaves off as needed.
It certainly was at my school anyway. And it was very effective. And I'd much rather have a certified teacher instructing young people an agreed upon curriculum as opposed to some volunteer at a clinic. Come to think of it, my health class had fewer teen pregnancies than the youth group I attended.
Isnt sex ed part of high school health curriculum? i know i had it back in 89’ have we removed it from the educational sustem?
Some states like Texas were teaching abstinence only for a time, which obviously resulted in an increase in teen pregnancies and abortions. Though they have updated that in the last couple years. We should probably have higher nationally recognized minimums that we teach to, but allow for states to go further if they choose.
