It was a rhetorical question lol. I know they are boring, but I was trying to explore the ways in which the boringness is extended beyond the court. I'm just looking for a reason to tune in now that I'm out of state and not really wanting to pay for league pass. I find that sad. I have no interest really in following the team and I haven't really felt that in like... ever.
Simons has improved a little, but not much at all compared to the time he's spent in the league: the first thing to calculate is whether or not last season was an aberration in terms of his shooting efficiency. It's really looking like one but he can still turn that around this season. But, a .540 career mark is well below average in the league He has improved his FT% quite a bit, but his FT Rate has fallen steadily to a fairly anemic level. He's improved his assist rate a little, but a 14.3% rate is still quite bad for a ball-handling guard this is his 4th season, and for the last 3 seasons he has been given consistent minutes and a consistent role. He doesn't have the 'but-he's-so-young-and-inexperienced' excuse anymore. He's at the point where he starting to be a 'what-you-see-is-what-you-get' role player. He sure hasn't proven he's anywhere close to a starting level player. And while he has better handles and likely better court vision than Allen Crabbe, it's fair, at this point, to think he's a one-trick pony, like Crabbe, who plays atrocious defense. Another Olshey special because of his 3 point shooting he has some value. But can the Blazers really afford a poor-man's CJ when they are seemingly stuck with the original version?
Just found out that Nurk blocked me on Twitter. I checked what i wrote in his direction, and the only thing i found is "he still dont dunk the damn ball". I think Nurk wants to get out of Portland, he's done here
To be honest it seems to be other way around as well. "Never seen a team focused so much more about their belly full than giving effort on the court." So, that's that.
There’s about ten threads on Reddit right now giving away tickets to tonight’s game alone - that’s about the average lately on game days. They’re dreadfully boring. Even factoring in covid - nobody wants to watch this team.
The Blazers aren't good enough to be boring, right now their just a bad basketball team. A team that I'd give the boring label has to be at least .500, so even though they might be in the range of competent to great in effect, it's unentertaining to watch. If you asked me to discuss a bunch of boring teams from the 90's I'd never list a team well below .500
...that's what I am saying! Everyone was involved and engaged for pretty much the entire game. Simply amazing.
they are boring now. I'm just bored of the same ol same ol. 3's everywhere. they have people who aren't supposed to shoot 3's, shoot 3's. there is still nothing that gets the crowd riled up as much as alley oops, big time blocks, fast breaks that lead to dunks rather than 3's. (other than a buzzer beater) if we incorporate those into our play, they wouldn't be boring anymore. right now, the Blazers are acting like the Spurs. boring.
