Not sure there is a test.
    I get annual flu shot.
860,000 Americans haven't died of flu in two years, despite Gorsuch.

There are between 250-500k flu deaths worldwide in the world. 5.5M have died of Covid in two years. So what’s the point.

How many excess deaths were due to covid vs. Covid response measures? That is not clear. But we do have more deaths in 2021 than in 2020, despite having no vaccine in 2020, and over 90% of those over 50 vaccinated in 2021 (over 90% of covid deaths are over 50)

No one is saying covid isn't bad, so thats not the argument. Does th government have the right to mandate a particular medical treatment?

Can they mandate everyone to take chemo to prevent cancer? Citing 600k cancer deaths per year does not settle that argument.

If you cough on me with cancer, do I then get cancer?

You must believe that the vaccine prevents transmission.

But let's say it is hypothetical contagious cancer. If the chemo doesnt stop spread anyway, ehat does it matter?

actually people need to stop saying this because it's known everywhere that an airborne virus can travel on anything...cardboard, cigarette smoke, door handle, touching your own face and not wearing eye protection etc....also vaccines are an insurance policy against death if infected....all this other false narrative stuff about vaccination boogey men is just false narrative.....social distancing, masking, hand washing and staying out of public crowded indoor places works ......as I've said....Taiwan and New Zealand are the gold standards for containing the virus and they have 100% compliance.....people who've relaxed from the safety protocols are all contributing to mutation after mutation instead of capping this off quickly....most people have not taken this issue seriously enough and just stubbornly refused to comply....so here we are...millions dead and on the 4th mutation wave. We need strict quarantine laws for travelers entering an airport or an airplane and back tracing when cases arrive.....we really dropped the ball on back testing which New Zealand and Taiwan stayed on top of for the last 2 years.....learn from success not failure would be the way forward...follow examples that have worked seems logical

Maybe people will stop saying it when others stop claiming it does. And this is in thr context of a mandate conversation. So your rant isnt really relevant. Also you are very mistsken uf you think those things will stop covid.

you should learn the difference between discourse and ranting....and safety protocols are proven to stem the spread where compliance was adhered too.....I have family in both those countries I sited and here in the US....we relaxed protocols and extended the spread by every means it could spread. I trust the science....doing so has kept me covid free as well as my family...I'm proof that doing what we did protects you....I also wouldn't travel over the last two years or go to a crowded indoor venue....choices New Zealand and Taiwan have contained the spread with mandates about protocol...when something is demonstrable...it's called scientific method. If you don't want to talk about this with me then it's all good but if you do please refrain from defining someone's opinion as an irrelevant rant next time.....you have every right to practice your own beliefs about the pandemic.

chemo is a treatment for cancer, not a preventative measure. so your analogy is flawed.

but let's imagine that there's a preventative that's discovered. Should the government mandate it?

There's a good argument for and against. Against: why should anyone else care if I want to die from cancer? For: very possibly, my cancer will end up costing other taxpayers and/or healthcare systems as I painfully croak from a completely avoidable disease.

But, cancer is not contagious, unlike covid.
It's very hard to make the argument that we shouldn't mandate vaccinations against contagious diseases, and in fact we already do. Polio, measles, etc etc

Chemo could knock out cancer cells early, and thus be preventative. But what if I'm already immune to that type of cancer or very low risk? What if id prefer to take other measures to avoid cancer?

If the covid shot provided long lasting effective protection, that would be great, but we know it's short lived. How many shots will you all get? Would you get multiple per year?

Should excercise and good eating habits be enforced in the name of reducing consumption of health care?
