Smith is a good playoff guy. He's 30, is a UFA next year and is a wing. So I have no idea what the hell we would want him for or how his salary is an issue with Eichel on the way.

Rangers should absolutely trade Georgiev now that I think about it. He's a UFA next season. He's a RFA. My guess is he won't sign here and I don't blame him. He's arrogaant and he figures he can start on some other teams which he can and get a much bigger, long term deal which he will. Koskinen is a UFA next year. They can take Koskinen back at half retained this year. Don't want a pick though. They need to expand on the deal. They aren't going to bring back Rooney next year as some team will overpay him. Gallant seems to hate Barron which is mind boggling. I would make it a deal like McLeod, Koskinen for Georgiev, Hunt and McKegg. McLeod has size, tremendous speed, is great on the PK with a team that can play defense and projects as a plus faceoff guy. He's a lower line guy but that is fine. He had good offensive numbers as well. It also gives us another option so they are more likely to dump Chytil who is not improving.

On a side note, Hughes has 12 points in his last 5 games playing about 20 minutes a night and top PP time. That's how you develop a top draft pick. Not playing them with assclowns like Chytil or not putting them on the first PP unit. Smh.

I don't see the Stars blowing it up out there. Pavelski is a perfect rental in the last year of his contract. They have a couple of center prospects they probably want to give time to. Seguin sucks now. No clue what happened to him. He's got to have off the ice issues to fall off that quick. Maybe Jones or Kravtsov for Pavelski and a 2nd rounder. For a rental, they have to give a pick back for sure.

Moron Canucks fans thinking they will get the world for Miller. I don't think I would give up Chytil until I see more of him at wing. He seems to have found something there. Honestly, Kravtsov, Lundkvist and Hajek is more than enough for Miller who is close to 30. He will be 29 in March. The Canucks are run by incompetent idiots. They still can't grasp the fact that there defenseman blow. OEL sucks. He's so overrated. Myers sucks. Hamonic sucks. Schenn sucks. Yet, most teams are so desperate for defenseman they probably could move those guys. If they had any clue they would make a deal like deal I proposed above then try to deal OEL, Myers and Hamonic, retain salary, suck for a couple years, play young players and draft a couple of prospects high. However, they won't. They will somehow think they can contend because they are dumb.

I think a 1st will almost certainly be one piece in any Miller deal if it goes down. Chytil likely would have to go to clear roster room, plus either Kravtsov or a young D-man. Maybe the Canucks include a 3rd rounder or equivalent to balance it out. Getting JT for 2 playoff runs would make the cost a little pricier.

Rather have Pavelski. He's even better on draws. He's having a great year. He's on the last year of his contract. You probably could send them Barron and Jones along with one of our second rounders. I could see Pavelski absolutely staying here for another 2 years at a decent price. Gallant clearly doesn't like Barron as he keeps playing that worthless scrub McKegg over him. Drury needs to release McKegg or trade him with a prospect immediately.

I'm starting to think going after Chychrun should be a priority. Robertson isn't ready. Jones is small. They don't seem to like Hajek. Time to move Miller is now before his value goes to Poti level. Not sure if the Yotes would do Miller, Kravtsov and Jones but I think that's a pretty good offer for a team that freakin sucks and has no depth.

Chychrun is an absolute stud on a great contract and I would overpay (within reason) to get him here. He'd be a perfect pairing with Trouba for the next 3 years.

Miller is still very young, he's not much older than Lundkvist and Jones. In fact he just turned 22 today. Lets keep that in mind when already declaring the guy Tom Poti. That said, I would absolutely include him in a Chychrun trade.

According to Jeff Marek the Rangers have made an offer for Chychrun which includes Kravtsov. Maybe Kravtsov, Miller or Lundkvist, Chytil or 1st.

I don't see them giving up Kravtsov, Chytil and either Miller or Lundkvist. I could see Miller, Kravtsov and Jones. That would be a heck of a haul for Chychrun. They would get 2 lefties on defense and a forward who might turn into something good if he grows up. I think they hold Lundkvist and Chytil to go after a center.

Hoping drury does something sooner than later before prices go up. Get the ld done now and the rw or center, if they’d let Barron play 3c their problem is solved for now. And oh yeah maybe actually draft some centers this year

Arizona has a shit ton of picks, so if the Rangers dealt Kravtsov, Miller and a 1st, i don't think it would bother the Yotes to send back a 3rd or 4th with Chychrun to balance it out. Then maybe you'd go after a Miller or Hertl with any of Chytil, Robertso/Lundkvist, 2nds.

Drury has a lot of pieces to use but he doesn't seem to be in a rush to make any moves. Don't know if it's because he's new to the job or over cautious. I would love to see JT here this year for a playoff run.
