Bad abdomen, pushing 32, shitty roster. Get this man out of town. If we get Ben Simmons, great.

Amen. There is no way they get a decent roster together in time for Dame to compete. Let him remain loyal, but work behind the scenes to get him somewhere that he has a chance.

Does anyone really want Joe Cronin to handle the single most important trade in the last 20 years?

I do think this will happen but draft night is the best time to recoup as much as you can for a superstar.

That’s only assuming that they actually see him as part of the rebuild.

In these 2 trades we have acquired a bunch of low value picks and 7 players - only one of whom is arguably an NBA quality starter. We are clogging up the roster with "players" who have less value than an open roster spot.
Are we really supposed to believe Dame knew about and endorsed this plan?

Does Dame even want to be traded to another team? I don't see him wanting to be viewed as another stars Robin even if it means winning.

Sounds like he is happy in Portland. He can get a super max and be the highest paid player in NBA history. Let the team lose for a few years and score 40 ppg. Watch his prodigy Ant develop.

Seems like he will try and lock up the mega $$$ from Portland now. Maybe after a few years of losing his attitude changes, if so then he requests out then.

Some of you might be okay with Dame getting the Kobe treatment and riding off into the sunset dragging our team while making boatloads of cash (assuming that's even what he wants), but I'm not. If we're rebuilding then we should rebuild. Trade Dame.

My guess is Damian isn't going anywhere and he is totally on board with everything Joe is doing.
After all, if you are going to completely "build around Dame", then it only stands to reason.

I haven't heard any sounds from Dame since this whole shit show started. The only thing I saw is him giving a teammate one of the dirtiest looks I've ever seen for cheering GB3's dunk during a blowout loss. He's not built for this tanking stuff. He definitely won't be built for playing and losing a ton. Remember he went off because we lost to the Nuggets. Dude hasn't missed the playoffs in 8 years and I sincerely doubt we're making them next year. So if he hasn't caught on by now, he'll be doing some hard learning next season before he asks out. He's not Kobe with 5 rings and he's not as old as Kobe was when he became the mentor to a losing team.

Yeah, I was on the never trade Dame boat but after this debacle. What can Dame do for us but get us worse picks? I'll tell you what he can do is get us a young star player and some more picks to rebuild with.

I wonder if this is the organization forcing Lillard to be the one who asks out, not them pushing him out?

I just don't want this bozo GM orchestrating it. God.... we'll get a total trash heap return for Dame.

That is the most likely case.... and it is absolute selfishness from the organization. Damian shouldn't have to be the one to go back on his word when they were the ones that failed to build around him.
