I think he'll become a world traveler--Europe, China, perhaps the G League. He won't be on the active roster next year.
Not very high hopes, but the kid has a nose for the ball. He's always where the action is. Good instincts, just maybe not the talent to capitalize. Sounds like a future coach!
He is a 3 and D player without the 3. It is possible that he can improve in that area, but it is not looking good. This summer is critical for him.
He's going to improve, and he does a few things well now. Who knows? Maybe he turns into Tayshaun playing for billups.
I expect like most young players that have come through our team over the last 10 years, for everyone to write him off, and then have him go on to be an ok role player in the league.
I think if he puts the time in, works hard, and keeps his nose clean, Arby's will promote him to manager after a couple of years. barfo
There are plenty of young guys who have came through Portland in the last 10 years that are no longer in the league.
Honestly the only reason he's even in the league is because of his height, motor and athleticism. He doesn't look even close to being able to develop a consistent shot, and that's a bare minimum in the league these days. Out of the league within 3 years.
I like his hustle and his board work but that’s pretty much it. I think Hughes is the better prospect.
You can't teach motor and hustle - and with this it would not surprise me if he sticks in the league as a role player for a long time, he is only 21 at this point - so there is still a chance he develops his shot. But, just as likely - he will flame out and become a professional player in Europe or China.
He's a floor pirate, nothing flashy, weird shot. However, he creates havoc and knows how to disrupt lanes. He's always throwing himself around at others, he's a disrupter, a floor pirate.
