Let me preface this by saying that I have little knowledge on the CBA/cap issues. So I have no idea of what would be allowed/disallowed.

Could we trade Eric Bledsoe/TPE/1st round pick(s) for Anthony Davis? The Lakers are stuck paying AD, LeBron and Westbrook $120M so they have no room to improve. The only assets they have are LeBron and AD.

LMAO!!! Only way they give us AD is for Dame. Which is not a horrible deal for us since it balances out the roster. Simons/Hart/Winslow/AD/Nurk is a good team.

Would you do it for one healthy playoffs and a title though? Like we got out of Walton. Simons/AD is a filthy combo.

Trade him back to the Pels. He and Zion can sit in their rocking chairs and tell everybody how great they woulda-coulda-shoulda been.

Because it makes sense to trade the face of the franchise for a guy, a center, coming to Portland, with very known injury history.

Like, come on man. Lol. This ain't no Walton situation.

AD is absolutely a game changer (when healthy). He would make the Blazers an instant contender (when healthy). He has one of the best over all skill sets of any big man in the league (when healthy). The Blazers could win a title if they could find a way to trade for him (and he stayed healthy).
You see where I'm going with this right?

Unfortunately we can not combine the tpe with any contracts.
I think our best chance of getting the $$ to work is signing the two lottery picks, and combining them with Bledsoe and likely one other small contract.

Perhaps the OP, and others, should consider what the Lakers gave up to get him. The Lakers GM would be crucified for such a trade, whether it makes sense or not.

This is exactly it. Financially, the trade would have to be Bledsoe, Winslow, Blazers 1st rd pick, Pelicans 1st rd pick. That's a huge gamble

If that's all it would cost? That is no gamble at all IMO. If you can get that deal you do that in a heartbeat.

If we assume that we get, say, picks 8 and 10, going off of the 1st year salaries of this year's 8 and 10 picks, we could sign those 2, combine them with Bledsoe, and then Didi would be enough salary to match Davis.

This is a perennial All-Star and future Hall of Fame talent. Yes he does get injured but if all it casts is Bledsoe and a couple picks from a questionable draft? You do that all day long.

Lets not act like Anthony Davis isn't worth it. It's more about the Lakers would never take that deal.

That’s literally how Portland ended up with Lillard. Nets didn’t think the draft class was good so they dealt their pick for a good but injury prone player. Obviously Wallace isn’t AD but it’s the same line of thinking that I’d rather avoid.
