Dame told Draymond on his pod that he was working on a project near and dear to him that's on a grander scale than he's ever done before. This must be it. Nice.
Feel free to delete your nasty post. This thread is about celebrating inclusiveness and being awesome.
Man, we've got a great one. I know I've been saying that for a long time but I don't know if there's been a guy in sports that has been such a high level athlete and celebrity that has been more about other people than himself. I know I've questioned from a basketball perspective if him and Ant can't make it work if we would be wise to trade Dame but even if it's the smart move, it'll just gut me. I want the guy to stay here, I think he deserves championships and I want him to retire never having played for another team. He's so great and if he pulls in all of the companies that he has endorsing him and possibly some of the even higher profile people he knows from sports and music, he could make this something that changes our nation for all of the people with special needs and for those of us that would be very positively impacted by them being more included in our lives. That would be bigger than basketball and I think he's always known that there are a lot of things bigger than basketball.
In every sense of the term, Dame is truly a role model. Not just because of his prowess on the basketball court but for who he is as a person. His honest commitment to his family, his community, and the people that are his fans is rare and refreshing. Dame is a person that even after his playing days in the NBA are over I hope he remains in the Portland area. I think he will always have a voice that will benefit all that will listen to it. Since the passing of Jerome Kersey there has been a void of sports role model that is committed through words and actions to make the community that supported him during his days as a Blazer better. I think Dame can naturally and easily fill that legacy.
I often think about how much I want to be there when we retire Dames number. I want to be there for all of that. Dude is different.
yep here's my take: unless Dame asks out, Portland should never consider trading him. If he doesn't ask out, I don't care what his trade value is or what his age is. Those will be irrelevant
Yeah. It's time for the Blazers to go back to the SPAM days and get this man a Championship. They can afford to spend and get players around him to contend. The time is now.
