yeah, a great night. Pels lose and the Lakers open up a 2.5 game lead on them for 9th. Spurs win and not only pass Portland, elevating the Blazers to 7th in the lottery, but they also come within a game of the Pels for 10th seed. And right now, the Spurs own the tie-breaker with the Pels, and play them twice more the only 'downer' was the Knicks losing
Ingram's out with a week plus with a hammy, so their games are now 48 minutes of garbage time too. It's like the two teams are 60 year old abandoned & out of gas Russian tanks sitting in the middle of the road. STOMP
Except one of those tanks is still trying to push on to Kiev, thinking they have a chance, and the other put sugar in their own gas tank to make sure their tank stays out in the middle of the Woods.
https://www.tankathon.com/ Many people probably already know about this site, but I just discovered it and find it very useful for this season especially.
Brings me back to the Oden days of simming the lottery. First try today was #1 and #9. Ideal placement.
Whew, I thought phoenix might let this one slip away but no, beat Pelicans. CJ had a good night but is a minus 10, while Graham who didn't shoot well was a plus 9.
It shows you that in spite of CJ having a good game they lose. That's it. It wasn't his fault they lost.
Well unless they get Ingram back by their next game. I think that the Spurs will beat them and only be a half game away from overtaking them for that 10th spot in the West. I'm more worried about losing that pick in the draft lottery now than losing it by the Pelicans making the playoffs. Them going through both the Lakers with a healthy LeBron and AD and then the Clippers doesn't seem likely at all, if they're even in the play ins.
No way they have that much luck, they are to far away to make a top 4 pick. And when Ingram comes back, they will be much better, they were playing extremely good until he got hurt. I still think our biggest danger is that they make the Playoffs, with Ingram they are absolutely capable of beating these trash ass Lakers and then the Clippers without their Stars
