better offense likely but only jones defends. none of the others play mych or any defense for that matter . cj bi and zion cant be bothered to play defense and it was on full display last night with the former two.

We couldn't play defense either and still could be a decent seed.

Ant and Dame in the backcourt isn't going to help things yet on defense.

Defense is something you need to win in the playoffs, not make the playoffs.

In his first 3 seasons, Greg Oden played in 82 games. In his first 3 seasons, Zion has played in 85. The most consecutive games he's played is 24. And, he's a lot heavier now than as a rookie and the off-season is approaching; a time he can get even fatter. It's likely that Zion will never be a sustainable factor for the Pels. Nance has played in 12 of 31 games for the Pels. Neither player approaches anything close to dependable

Hayes had 4 points and 1 rebound last night and he's in his 3rd season. He's averaged 8 & 4 so far in his career. Murphy averaged 5 & 2 this year. Watford averaged 8 & 4 this year; Eubanks averaged 15 & 9. Honestly, if you're using Hayes and Murphy as examples of why the Pels will be better, Watford and Eubanks are examples of why they won't be

    really, the comparison should be:

    (Zion - maybe)
    CJ
    Ingram
    Valanciunas
    Herb Jones
    (8th pick)

    VS

    Dame
    Simons
    Nurkic
    Hart
    (6th pick)
    (TPE - maybe)

so then, the Pels are depending on Zion's health and Portland is depending on good decisions. Yeah, I know that's worth some giggles

    Was just gonna mention this.
I normally find him cringeworthy as a Blazer broacaster, but dam, he sounds great on this.
    Barely recognized him.
He is a Class A Journalist, no question, but I think that prohibits him from really being anybody's "local guy".

Well he's Seattle's local guy. Only reason he's doing Portland games is because the NBA moved the team from Seattle.

With Dame back, Ant will be doing what Jordan Poole is doing.
