The Hawks team’s confidence is obviously shot.

Watching Trae Young gets doubled and blitz is like watching Dame. Both need a Draymond Green type player who is a point forward and can handle the ball.

It happened to Doncic too at the end of their loss to Utah last night. Dallas had the ball last.
It should be easy to beat a trap and get a high-percentage shot for any team. Golden State does it.

i was confused there. did utah call a timeout after the lob to rudy? because dallas took it out at that end. I figured utah took the timeout to make sure luka was swarmed by defenders, but maybe it was an officials timeout??

Difference is, Doncic plays with Brunson AND Dinwiddie, both of whom are starter-quality PGs.

The play-by-play says the Mavs took a timeout.
Daniel House Jr. entered the game for Mike Conley, and Spencer Dinwiddie entered the game for Dwight Powell. Spencer Dinwiddie misses 25-foot three-point jumper.

And a little before that it says Powell missed two free throws and that was why they were in that position at all.

That was their play. It’s the same play when Dinwidee beat Nets on that shot

Interesting that the Pelicans are going very big with Hayes in the starting lineup, and essentially they play without a PG. Putting up more of a fight than I would've thought (although, of course, the Suns don't have Booker).

Herb Jones is the best wing defender since young, San Antonio Kawhi Leonard.

I love Herbert Jones. Great find by the Pelicans. Haven’t seen a perimeter defender close out on 3’s quite like him.
