If Panarin even skates half speed he stops Aho from the rebound attempt. Fucking guy.

Most of the vets have sucked ass again. I guess they need to wait until game 6 or something.

One guy I am starting to get fed up with is Kakko I have to admit. You see Lafreniere is going to be great. Kakko concerns me that he will not be the guy we all expected him to be. Doesn't shoot on a breakaway, then falls over himself, then misses a wide open net that I could have scored into. He concerns me.

And outside of the OT winner, Panarin continues to stink.

It was a matter of time before they scored after we let many great chances go by. This would be a very tough game to lose and come back from...very tough.

Had chances to put the game away and failed. You knew that missed open net by Kakko would come back to haunt them. I don't like their chances in OT with how they're playing.

The Rangers played a great game until the 3rd. The Canes are a very good team, and you knew they would come on strong in the 3rd. The issue is not that IMO, it is the lack of finishing on MANY chances. If Kakko hits a wide open net game over. That is what gets me, along with the Panarin coast on the tying goal. The Canes were due to have a good period.

You will not play a perfect game and control everything against a team like the Canes. There are two teams on the ice, so give them credit. But you have to finish more than 1 of these chances.

They’ve been pulling this shit for years blowing late 3rd period leads in the playoffs. I told my father before he game started this is how this game would play out

Kakko is still a little too stiff as a player. I don't know if that will ever change enough to justify going #2 overall.

I'm confident this team will do just fine. Canes threw everything and barely tied it up. Yes they controlled play in the third but not many real chances

Agreed - I am concerned that Kakko will never be the # 2 pick in the draft we expected. I have zero concerns Lafreniere will be a stud.

They had a ton of good chances. Not sure what you saw. They missed a lot of them, but they had a lot. Honestly, the Canes deserved a goal, but we should have been up 4-0 at least by that point.

These are all things a young team will have to learn but you expect the veterans to play like it.

Big OT. We win and all is good to me. If we lose it is really going to be another test for a young team to rebound in game 2 from this crushing L. Need to win game 2 if they lose tonight.

Can't stand this on crap ESPN. It's a far cry from Gary Thorne back in the day.

You're wrong on Kakko. He dominates along the boards, unlike anyone I've seen in a long time. Reminds me of Jagr. Not saying he will be Jagr but he will figure out the finishing part once he starts shooting more.
