Yes he would be ideal pick with the 15. Both players fit in the mold of what billups wants to do on defensive.

I wouldn't suprise if Williams move up and the player I think will move down is Duren.

I don't know where you get that from he was just under 30% from three and his form looks great. He's just someone that needs some development in that area.

With Dame coming back I don't see Simons stats that high plus there Hart too going be on the court.

My first guy would be Murray if not there I might trade down maybe with Charlotte 13 & 15 I still think we can get quality out of those spots.

Unless something crazy comes out the top four appear to set in some sort of order. So essentially that means if even one player flies up the mocks after the combine and workouts then we have a shot at either Sharpe or Murray. For pick 7 that's not bad. I still think Duren will be the player everyone regrets no taking in a few years but I get the caution of taking him right now at 7.

Yeah I don't think its just reps for him either. There's some weird shit going on at the top of his shot. Under 60 from the line.

He's still late lotto for me with his size, skill and feel though.

My pick is still Duren, especially now that we’re at 7.

Duren makes the most since, we haven’t had an athletic big like that in a very long time. He fills a need and a wish(from Dame). Why would we draft small at 7 when size is a major weakness. Sharpe, Mathurin, Griffin all feel repetitive to me. We have zero physicality on this team, none. Draft Duren and watch him destroy the offensive glass and protect the middle.

Draft Keegan Murray at 7. He is a success machine who played with great determination to win the Big 10 for Iowa! He will be excellent in continuing to develop (as he did from his freshman to his sophomore year) and bringing the energy level that Chauncey needs to contend.

He’d be a good fit, but there are a few boxes he doesn’t check

    1. Not a high risk guy that Cronin likes

    2. Won’t be there at 7

I have changed my mind, going Mark Willams over Duren, incredible measurements from combine, 2" more standing reach than Gobert,! likely better mobility and he has great timing, could be looking at a multiple DPOY or all league Defensive C, and has already proven himself in college ball. Not saying we draft a C but if we did I'd take him over Duren and am hearing a lot more Top 10 talk about Williams.

I have an idea but not sure it's possible so any CBA people chime in if my idea is DOA on arrival for that fact.

Can the Blazers trade a lesser contract player for a TPE and a pick like let's say a team only 1 to 2 spots ahead of the Blazers have a TPE that could handle -- example w/o destination team ---

-- Blazers trade Keon Johnson and 7th pick for pick # and a TPE

Only mention it cause let's say the Blazers fall in love with Murrey from Iowa so try and trade ahead of the team prolly going to select him

Well, the Pistons don't have any TPE's, so we wouldn't be able to make such a deal with them. The Kings at 4 have a $4M TPE, but I don't think Keon would be enough to justify a 3 spot swap.

But to answer simply, yes that could happen.

He was one of the most consistent players in the tourney too.

Yeah I’m not buying the hype on Duren. He’s a physical freak, but just doesn’t really seem to have a great feel for the game. And unless a center is able to alter the paint with shot blocking ability in todays NBA there is really no need.
