L O L I mean, it would definitely make me wrong about Stotts not getting a HC job again… But it would be hilarious to read a Lakers message board after they see how truly terrible he is. Also, said this is the other thread, but I knew they’d interview one of the top assistants. I’d be surprised if they didn’t go that direction.
Every message board for every team has people who say the coach is the problem. This one certainly has it's fair share.
Good luck to Terry and by that I mean I hope he doesn't get the Lakers job...that place is a shitshow of a front office. Go golfing Terry...you got a fat paycheck buyout already...enjoy it!
While true, I’d say about 95% of the people on Twitter (that are LA fans) don’t want him - based on the replies. So the fact that a vast majority don’t want him already, coupled with the fact that the LA media is much, much less forgiving than Portland media, would make for an absolute horror show. it would be like the thread where 99% of people don’t want to do the Jerami Grant trade for #7 and whatever else… and it still happens. (which I’m sure would lead to a bunch of interesting threads in its own right)
Fuck!!!! Man I was hoping Portland would have got him last year. Lakers just got exceptional on defense Positive note though, Milwaukee will be worse and maybe that pick is slightly better
So he's going to build a time machine and get back LeBrons youth, Davis' health, and Westbrooks...well, shot?
Probably the best hire for all parties involved. I'm assuming Laker fans (like most) prefer an experienced assistant coach w/out any head coaching experience than a coach with head coaching experience, because it's so much easier to nit-pick what went wrong for the guy with previous HC experience. The backup QB is always the fan favorite! Lakers have some work to do to turn that roster back into a championship contending one, regardless of who their coach is. Ham and Stotts were both deserving candidates for a top NBA franchise.
