Well, according to this board, if he is no longer considered a forward and looks to be a center than he should be dropping down to late first, early second round of the draft. I'm sure we could do a trade with the Milwaukee pick to trade in and get him.
the narrative is so confusing. while i love Jabari the prospect, I can't understand how Paolo is not the clearcut #1. This is the perfect epitome of the groupthink that embodies mockdraft culture.
I feel like I sometimes have a hard time telling the difference between snark and jokes. I tend to lean more towards snark though.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles...rward-widely-expected-to-be-moved-this-summer Blazers star Damian Lillard has an existing relationship with Grant dating back to their Team USA days, and Portland spent much of the 2021-22 season dismantling its roster to rebuild around Lillard. While adding Grant wouldn't turn the Blazers into a championship contender, he could be a solid third piece on a contender if Portland can find a second star. Marc Stein reported on April 3 that the Pistons rebuffed an offer of Josh Hart and draft compensation for Grant before the 2022 trade deadline. Portland has the No. 7 pick in next week's NBA draft, though it feels unlikely the Blazers would move a mid-lottery pick for an expiring contract.
I disagree, I think we'll see the team trade Bledsoe and 7 for Collins and 16. Then we'll move 16 for Grant. We'll do that even if it takes sending 36 in either of the trades. If we're really serious about making Dame happy then we'll trade a S&T Nurk, Hart, the Bucks' 2025 FRP and the Pistons' 2025 SRP to Phoenix for a S&T Ayton at the 5 year max and Crowder. We'll then use the TPMLE to sign a backup C and an in case of emergency backup PG both for just over the vet min they could get elsewhere. Dame, Ant, Grant, Collins, Ayton, Crowder, Nas, Justise, FA C, FA PG, Keon, Trendon, Greg and Didi. I don't know if that's a contending roster but I think it's such a drastic improvement that national sports media will be saying it is. National sports media was also all about picking up DJJ and RoCo and look how that turned out.
Yeah, I didn't mention Williams either who unlike Blevins already has a two way contract for next season and I think our other two way will go to pick 57. I also think that if the team is serious about Ayton that if the Bucks first and Pistons second isn't enough for him that they'll move the Pistons second and possibly the Pelicans future second that we own to Chicago to take the conditions off of the pick we owe them so we can send one of our future first rounders along with the Bucks to Phoenix to get that deal done.
National media was down on us (Lowe had us at 6th seed) after we made it to the WCF. National media will be very down on us this year (10-12 seed range) unless we land Kevin Durant. Then we'll have top championship odds.
Sam Vecenie on the Russillo pod said Sharpe's workouts have "not been stellar." Lots of terrific insight into how these guys project and how he evaluates players, etc. After Schmitz, this guy was probably the most plugged in and informed internet draft personality. Worth a listen. https://www.theringer.com/2022/6/16...nba-draft-international-talent-chris-ebersole
