Where else could I argue against it if there isn't a thread? Duh.

In two months, we could also include Grant in these discussions

Nets? To stop moving them for the Wallace trade, and taking Crabbe even after we matched that offer sheet.

The most I would trade is Hart, Little 3 firsts, and 3 swaps. OR Simons, 2 first and 3 swaps. I'd also sub in Sharpe instead of either Little or Simons. Of course you also throw in EBEC to match salaries. Those are the upper limit though. I really don't like Durant, but I REALLY like Dame winning a ring in Portland and the team we'd have left would be not only contenders but a top 4 squad in the league.

    PG Dame
    SG Simons
    SF Grant
    PF Durant
    C Nurkic

With Sharpe developing off the bench and then really who cares? Get some vet mins and give run to Keon, Winslow, Watford, Brown, and Walker.

The goal should be to get a star for Dame to play but then there are actually people who say no to Simmons and KD? WTF? One of those guys would drastically improve our team provided Dame doesn’t go out in the trade.

I want to wait and see what this squad does, but I would offer Ant, Grant, and 2 1sts, 2 pick swaps at the deadline though. If they’re trading KD, I’m guessing they’d want “one young player, one vet, multiple 1sts” as part of a rebuild effort.

Durant is under contract for three years after this upcoming season. By next season, it’s possible than one of (or both) Sharpe or Nas can start.

    Dame/Sharpe/Nas/KD/Nurk

If Sharpe pops, it really allows us to explore trades for Hart (for a starting forward) or Ant (for a superstar forward). For KD though, I’d rather see Grant out than Hart out.

Sharpe next to Dame and KD would be scary. It’s too bad we wouldn’t take on a salary for Duren. Duren with that lineup would maximize his abilities.

Yeah the guys I wanted at our pick or lower in order were Sharpe, Sochan and Duren. I had fantasies about getting all three, but we got the best of the 3 so there's that. I think we may have gotten the best player in the draft in terms of their career. We got the Superstar potential guy. Holmgren in theory has a higher ceiling, but I think Sharpe is 10x more likely to reach it. Ivey will likely be the best of the 3 who have the highest ceilings in the next year or two, but in 5 years I bet Sharpe is easily the best of the 3 and quite likely the best out of this draft.

If we actually netted Durant while keeping Dame, Hart and Nurk we would win the title. So Ant S&T, the rights to Shaedon, EBEC and we take the conditions off of the pick we owe Chicago and send them as many draft assets as possible. We pick up a backup PG with the TPMLE and a vet min backup ring chasing C. Dame, Hart, Durant, Grant, Nurk, Nas, Justise, TPMLE PG, vet min C and Joe Ingles by the time the playoffs role around. Greatest Blazers team ever assembled.

It is definitely the "win now" move.

Of course but it would be fucking crazy if some shit like I posted above went down... if the Nets had a good S&T lined up for Kyrie they might look to move Durant. Obviously not going to happen but fun and funny to talk about.
