Especially to @YamTastic and @KSF-ERIC. It doesn't feel like a celebratory time. But when our community is under full frontal assault is exactly when we need to celebrate who we are and commit ourselves to keep on.
    Happy Pride.

Pride was, is, and always should be a riot of protest. We can recognize and celebrate our uniqueness, but we gotta fight like hell to keep our place in this world.

    Happy Pride @crandc

It's a typical San Francisco summer day. Freezing!

I noticed Nancy Pelosi, who always attends, had much heavier security than in the past. I guess all revelations about mob wanting to murder her.

Apparently, this is the new, more inclusive Pride flag.

That's awesome! The progress pride flag (I believe that's what it's called) is pretty popular in Portland.

Bird Cage was amusing, and side note Callista Flockheart's big break, but hardly typical of gay couples.

The Big Island (my first time here) is definitely a mixed bag (in a very good way). Lots to see and do, so I'm glad we have 3 weeks. BG's place is at 2100 feet in elevation, so the temperature rarely gets much over 75, which is perfect. And the almost daily rain showers are a blessing rather than a nuisance (free water!). First day on the beach I got quickly fried despite sunblock, SPF clothes etc. So the more temperate location is nice......and it's only 20-25 minutes to Hilo. Still getting used to being addressed as "Uncle" by the locals, but it sure beats the usual "Asshole" label.......still have to get up to the volcano (both in the daylight and at night) and wherever else the granddaughters feel I need to see. But so far so good! I certainly get why people go for this lifestyle........
