Lol that will show in time that they’re actually dumb teams.

Who would trade for Tobias unless they also had a bad contract they wanted to get out of?

I would not mind Kemba for the minimum

That's a shitty backup center right there.

you don't think we could use a backup PG in case Dame/Ant get hurt?

1.) Don't think it's smart using another roster spot on the position you are strongest at.

2.) Hart will play some PG this season.

3.) Williams as the 2-way guy fills this role.

4.) Why would Kemba go to a team where he has no guaranteed role?

We have Dame as PG and Ant as his backup. Ant is also slotted for at least 25 mpg at SG.

While we are strong there, I don't think we are very deep at PG. Hart? Has he ever played PG.

Eh I don't think Williams is very good. He put up inefficient numbers on a tanking team but still think he's a few yrs away from contributing.

I think your 4th point is probably the strongest.

I'd prefer Holiday to Kemba, although am sure he will get a bigger role elsewhere. Really, if Dame and Ant both get hurt and we're desperate for a PG, we're kinda screwed anyways.

I am just being a smartass because of all the backup center talk.

Harteinstein seems like a long shot without the full MLE. And I don't wanna commit close to 30M to the center spot. Seems like a mistake in the current NBA if it's not an MVP calibre player.

I don’t disagree, but we need to have a good backup center given the high likelihood that Nurk is injured at some point this season. You don’t want Cody Zeller or Eubanks playing as the primary interior player for weeks at a time if we are trying to get a high seed.

Every team has limited resources. I'd rather use that money on someone that can conceivably play rotation minutes in the playoffs, not someone that will just help you in the regular season. Spending 10 million on a backup center that will play 5 mins in the playoffs just seems like a mistake.

Nurk is good for about 30 minutes max in a playoff game, so 5 minutes might be an exageration. But I get your point which is why Jalen is the better option IMO since he can fill two roles that we need help with. A combo C/PF is an ideal player to go after with limited resources.

I imagine we will spend more time going small in the playoffs. Ie. grant/Winslow or another wing at center, maybe Watford

Ironically, Hartenstein might be more suited for the Playoffs than Nurk.
