Yeah.... I just don't see many other options within a price range that would have the kind of effect that we want. OG would balance the roster out and solidify the three spot. And he's young enough to straddle both timelines.
You're probably right and we just need to be patient this season and see what we have. I'd really like to see what Ant/Nas/Sharpe can do this year. Probably toss Watford in there as well.
Yeah, sorry, I'm just saying that their original demands included the 7th pick (which is now Sharpe) and he can't be included until probably... what... January?
They love Nas, Hart, Sharpe, and now GP2. I don't think there's a trade coming to consolidate. Maybe someone under $6 million using Bledsoe/TPE (Jarred Vanderbilt) but they purposely set out for smaller wing defenders.
Would love to get Vanderbuilt....some actual size. I can appreciate that they love all those players, but only one of them will start this year. We still need another star. Doesn't look like it is happening anytime soon.
Yeah, maybe they get something done at the deadline when all the free agent contracts becone tradeable. Or maybe they duck the tax again and save Jody money!
Why would we offer two first-round picks, Hart and Keon for OG he is NOT that good. I think that's almost worse than what we currently have and god forbid his knees give out, again.
Trading Sharpe (+ stuff!!!) for OG would go down in history as maybe the worst trade the Blazers have ever made. It would be up there with Jermaine O'Neal, Fat Lever, and maybe even going back to Moses Malone. It would be just horrid.
You can have more than 12 active. I don't know when the rule changed but it did. Used to be 12 active 3 inactive. Now, I think at least 13 can play in a single game. Maybe more. Anyone know? As for your KD trade example, all you have to do is add other Nets scrubs to the trade.
OG's ceiling is higher than you think. NOT trading Sharpe for OG could be like NOT drafting CP3 because we already have Telfair.
We agree to disagree. OG has potential, but he's very inconsistent. If the Raptors really were asking for 2 first & Hart, FIRM , they're delusional. He hasn't shown enough to require that kind of comp. in return.
OG is 25 and he's started every game he's played over the last 3 seasons averaging around 33 minutes. So he's probably well past the point where potential has just morphed into 'room-for-improvement'
