I don't think anyone is arguing that. But the Pelicans traded for CJ last season and they were hard-capped. Moves can still be made. I think that is the point that they were trying to make.

Yeah that’s probably true. The main issue is going to be filling roster spots because we would probably need to send out multiple guys to match salary and then we would need to fill those empty spots. I think it’s most likely that we are done.

More likely, we’d send out some of our young prospects and take back fillers to keep the roster at 13 or more.

I’m not sure we could. They’d have to be making vet mins.

I think Ant might be better than him but that's at PG. At SG Ant hasn't shown shit, so that's the question that has to be answered and the truth is all of my pissing and moaning might be for nothing because if Ant can be as effective at SG as he was at PG in January and February, then he's on a good deal.

Oh yeah, I was thinking more like a trade for someone big like Simmons or Durant. Players that make a lot of money.

I think reality is more of a cap for those types of players than the apron is.

    Dame, GP2
    Ant, Hart
    Little, Sharpe
    Grant, Watford
    Nurk, Eubanks

    Others:
    Justice Winslow
    Keon Johnson
    Greg Brown III
    Didi Louzada
    Brandon Williams (2-way)
    Jabari Walker (rookie)
    Eric Bledsoe (likely waived, traded)

They can play it out and make a move or two by the deadline to consolidate the guards and address the thin frontcourt. My fantasy is somehow get involved in the Nets soap opera and snag Bridges out of PHX or Collins out of ATL or OG Anunoby out of Toronto or even Ben Simmons out of the Nets while keeping Dame Ant Grant and Nurk. Everyone else on the table plus picks.

So for those of us with pieces of brain missing, who does Bledsoe’s contract look attractive to and why?

If this is the roster they can evaluate Sharpe I guess. If Nas stays relatively healthy and Sharpe “surprises” they won’t need to add a wing. Those are two pretty big ifs but the first half of the season is usually for evaluation anyway and with the play in tournament, teams can afford to be more patient.

Imagine a Simmons and Westbrook backourt. Cronin need to get Simmons out of Brooklyn
