In the past, GMs have done fan events with season ticket holders and even with S2 dreck like yours truly. You never get a full look behind the curtains, but some good questions have been answered. I guess I’m not sure why some of you seem to expect to get the full details. Regarding whether Bledsoe’s contract is being stretched, I looked it up and, according to Slam, “Teams must inform the league of their intent to stretch a waived player within one business day of the formal termination.” I’m guessing we’ll see the answer on Spotrac shortly. Edit: As of now, Spotrac shows the full $3.9M hit being taken this season.
That's because your response came across very poorly. Jacked Ramsays has every single advantage over us. They get mentioned on game broadcasts. They both have their radio shows now. Marang has the established Blazers Edge and the contacts he made from having a pre and post game Blazers show on TV. He literally tried to copy everything we do, thinking he would squash us easily. Well despite all that, we still put up better numbers than him. So you telling me to be more like him is extremely insulting. The way you're talking makes it seem like this is my job and I need to do everything I can to salvage it. I have a family and a successful business. This is a hobby for me. I've spoken with CJ, off the record. I've been in a fantasy league with Ant, could talk to him whenever I wanted since. Like I said, I've tried to get in touch with every single player and coach. Edniesha Curry is someone I'd love to talk to! I watched a video with her talking about how she would ban pick and rolls until high school and it would lead to a fascinating conversation, IMO. I can't force someone to respond. Within the past couple weeks I've reached out to both Shaedon Sharpe and Jabari Walker. Same with Gary Payton II. I've tried getting media credentials more times than I can count. So when you respond by saying, "don't listen to me then," I don't know what you want from me.
Chauncey and Joe said Drew Eubanks absolutely earned his roster spot this season and GPII and Eubanks talked about how they took the Beavs to a higher level together and couldn't wait to throw lobs for each other again as Blazers....Grant was pretty quiet....Fentris opened with a long rambling tangent where Chauncey said..."man this is a long assed question"....Joe said we have guys who play bigger than they are and have heart...Nurk said it's Chauncey and coach Rogers system that's exciting him to play with Grant this season. Ant said he's happy to be a long term Blazer...it was not a very lively Q and A from the media. Short intro....all in all Joe seemed happy with the core we're building long term and seemed to suggest he's always going to look to get better and make trades if they become available. He said we have a team other teams will be nervous about facing this season.
I'm not a Marang fan.although he's not a dumb guy when it comes to hoops..he's pretty arrogant but that's not exclusive to him....Sprague I like to listen to.....I'm a fan of your website....my go to youtube channels are neither Jack Ramsey's nor yours so I follow a couple with very little fan base because I like calm Blazer talk...not into any podcast style that makes me lower the volume on my headset...that's my choice. I keep listening to everyone I can find but my favorites aren't popular. I'll leave you to it. I was under the impression you were interested in making a career out of analysis but now I see it's a hobby for you...that changes things ...Nate's right...it would be too time consuming if you have a day gig and all that. I'll avoid offering you guys any advice in the future...once a teacher always a teacher..it's in my dna but free advice should never be taken as an insult...ever. That was never my intention
No. I mean the out of touch shit that a lot of boomers say about the housing market or the job market or like…. You know…. The real world.
This. Considering Torey (at least from my perspective which is limited) said "I'm doing this" and from the ground up him and Eric have built something great. Credintials will get there, I'm sure. But for a "small" market they are putting in the work to fill the niche in this city and they started from the ground. The fact they are this far and still growing. It's a testament to the work put in. You gotta show the work and effort to get those credentials when you literally didn't have any other pull. That's commendable and in due time they will get there.
YouTube isn't the venue? Hm? You think we're going about this the wrong way? How would you feel if someone, who had little knowledge of your job, started telling you to try harder for that raise you've been busting your ass for for three years and portrayed it as "free advice", and then said you were packing it in, all while saying you weren't doing your job right? That's exactly what you're doing, but if I point that out, then I'd be wrong for not taking your positive "words of encouragement" as such? That's how this works, right? Credentials would be nice but they are impossible to get when you barely have a platform. Or else you'd have 50 podcasters in the practice facility. We've had to scratch and claw for every ounce of respect and to build a platform. It's extremely hard to separate yourself when you have to start from nothing and there's thousands of people that would love to do the same thing. That's why it's comical that you're saying we "packed it in" when we actually have set ourselves apart. The fact that you'd say something like that and act like it's not an insult and then tell Eric to take your words as "free advice" is... something.
I never, ever said you packed it in.....I said I look to success to learn from, not someone who's packed it in....that was not aimed at you or Eric but as I said.....I'll not be encouraging to you anymore...and I subscribe to your channel...it's just not something I can listen to for long...mostly over volume of delivery...but hey. Good luck.......packed it in was in response to Nate telling me to not insult you by encouraging you...this got real dramatic over a compliment. Weird how support became my character flaw over this topic. If you read insult into that....it's an area you should work on in public relations Torey
You know, when pretty much everyone reading your comments sees them as insulting, the flaw might not be in the interpretation, but in the delivery.
well glad to see you speak for everyone ....sounds like it's break time from this place again..I'm not here insulting those guys but I find what you just posted insulting.
I'm not speaking for anyone--just reading the responses to you in this thread. Has anyone responding to you in this thread indicated that they viewed your comments in a positive light?
