Corey Seager thinks he has a right to challenge J-Rod? Unacceptable. I'll credit him with a valiant effort, but he must ultimately fall short. It is written.
I never thought Griffey could be dethroned, but he is making a case for it. It's like that first year of Dame. I'm not even sure we know what we have here.
I can't wait to watch the replay of the home run derby. I'm enamored with Julio. I just want him in bubble wrap though cause I'm scared lmao.
Julio Yarnel Rodríguez (born December 29, 2000), nicknamed "J-Rod", is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). Rodríguez signed with the Mariners as an international free agent in 2017, and made his MLB debut in 2022. He was only 16 years old, wow.
his best friend Noelvi Marte was signed shortly after him and is also a highly touted prospect. He is in high A right now but could be in the big leagues next year. Shortstop but projects better at 3rd in the majors. the question is do you trade him and others for Juan Soto? I think you have to do it unless Julio gets really upset for trading his best friend. Soto is almost a a lock to be a hall of famer as long as he is healthy. Pairing him with Julio would be so exciting.
This isn't like basketball where there's a limited amount of players to trade. You can send off 10 prospects and draft picks. No way in hell do you trade Julio for soto. You trade FOR Soto to play along side Julio. Baseball is WAY different in how trades go down.
this. I’d never trade Julio. I want to sign him to a 10 year deal asap we would have to deplete our outstanding farm system for him. I have faith Jerry wouldn’t take too long to build it back up. Dude loves trades lol
Hahaha ooooh my bad. I read that way too fast. I mean, Julio I wouldn't think is hinging everything here based on his friend being in the farm system. I think current players more than ever understand the business side.
Only thing I wanna see now is Pujols unexpectedly making it to the final. Although a JRod-Soto final would be pretty sweet too.
All right, here it comes. JRod vs his teammate-to-be Soto! (Imma speak it into existence) Lemme just say here that after destroying the field in the first two rounds, they should allow Julio to choose whether he goes first or second. Of course, he'd probably opt to go first anyway.
They have a brutal schedule coming up. Should say a lot about the team how they play Houston and NYY.
