That's not a good reason. So long as we're competing for the playoffs you play the guys who deserve it, maybe that'll be him. There's nothing like getting reps in actual games but if he's simply not ready you're only going to 1) hurt the team, 2) destroy his confidence, 3) make this message board hate him.

Figured you’d go with after the Blazers are moved to Seattle? You’re losing your focus!

Funny, thats exactly what management thinks about your opinion which is important because it's their opinion of how to use players that solely matters.

But please please please tell us more because we're hanging on every word

The 2 all time wings you note here both averaged the 16-20 MPG you want SS to. But their play statistacally warrented it. Hopefully Shaedon will earn a consistent role as well

That's another way of saying go to the g league of stalking and when you get back we will see if you can earn some minutes.

No intention of implying anything about anyone's stalking skills were intended by this post, professional driver on a closed course, do not attempt at home, please try the veal and do not forget to tip your servers.

So the narrative being pushed that Shaedon is a high school straight to NBA prospect is false. The guy was on a top ten NCAA team for half of a season. He didn't get game action but unlike the NBA where teams are either resting or playing every night, practice is a huge part of the college ball experience. So Shaedon played against some of the best players in college ball last year every week in practice and was impressive enough that Jay Bilas repeatedly attended practices expressly to see him.

This isn't a high school to NBA situation and it's not Ant either. Ant went to a prep school not an NCAA powerhouse and Ant wasn't close to as highly ranked of a prospect as Shaedon. As far as force feeding him minutes I don't know about that and don't think it will be necessary. I think the kid will earn minutes and we might even see him starting by midseason.

That claim is neglible at best. He switched classes to graduate early and attend UK in what would have been his Senior year of HS. He dodged playing college ball to enter the draft. So the last game he played was in High School and the next game he plays will be in the NBA. Top High School players often get to work out and practice with/against college players in the offseason.

Draymond missed most of January, all of February, and a good chunk of march.

Honestly, we probably wouldn't be contenders even of he were Kobe ... It took Kobe a couple years.

People tend to forget how much of JO's improvement was attributed to the coaching he received there.

And he had the yips whenever he got in the game, keeping him from earning consistent minutes.

I like to think, that he really should be drafted in first 3, but draft was deep, so teams just preferred not to gamble. Can't wait to see him playing, cos he looks ready to go. He will be monster.

They aren't going to have 11 people in the rotation.

But they also aren't going to have 11 guys available to play 82 games, so maybe all these guys eventually get minutes. In that case you don't need to limit it to 48 minutes per position.

I wouldn't play Eubanks or Sharpe from your list. I'd put Winslow ahead of Walker. I'd also give GP at least 20 minutes and Hart closer to 30.

That is just to start the season, hopefully Sharpe/Walker improve weeks and months into the year and earn a role.

This is why I put down 20 minutes on my breakdown and said that it could depend on who we play, whether those minutes go to Eubanks or Watford. This was covered briefly with Cronin in that interview and he basically said that they're going to have to get creative with lineups depending on who they face.

You're either trolling or I feel sorry for you. You think Shaedon Sharpe "dodged college ball"? This guy is a serious competitor who switched from dominating in Canada as freshman (leading his team to an Ontario champioship [the most populace province in the country]) to play higher level HS ball in the states, where he switched again to be in a more competitive situation. I take him at his word when he says that he went to Kentucky to play ball but when his name flew up the draft boards he chose the more competitive situation again in the NBA. I'm not denying that we haven't seen him in competitive situations at the college level, I'm just saying he definitely played competitively at the college level and guys like Billas and a ton of scouts loved what they say. His own teammate TyTy Washington said that Sharpe was the best player there.

Comparing Kentucky practices to random pickup games in the summer is preposterous but that's OK you seem to constantly go to ridiculous stretches just to try and be right when you're clearly wrong.

isn't that dude Bert Kolde in your picture? I don't know what to think about him, from everything i have read so far, it seems like he's an asshole and not really friendly. But i don't really know whats his role exactly is on the Blazers

I remember him holding his own versus a legit Shawn Kemp and the Sonics during his rookie year.

At this point Sharpe is a "project." How good and how advanced remains to be seen. Like any young project, the Blazers will bring him along and find spot minutes for him as appropriate, based on his progress and ability. No sense getting wound up about it now.
