I have every right to fight for my kids who are, though.

Your pastor parent didn't guide you from dropping out of high school early on so your argument makes no sense. You're proof parents can't dictate what education provides. And you've probably bitched about teachers and schools since you were required to do homework. Gotcha. This led to your jr high school level education. You failed yourself, the school didn't fail you and your parents didn't save you from that choice. All of a sudden you seem empowered to dictate policy over this.

Studies show that parents most vociferous about sex education belongs at home are the least likely to discuss sex with their children.

This idea on the right that schools shouldn't teach anything. Only repeat what they say at home.

This argument is always so ill thought out.

Most of the times these arguments are from adults that got to go to school for free as kids. Now as adults they hate paying property taxes and paying it forward to other kids.

You really want schools underfunded so kids have nowhere to go so they wander the streets as zombies stealing your shit. Taking a shit on your front lawn? 18 year olds banging your wife while you are at work?

That certainly doesn't mean I don't fight for the rights of my kids (who are parents), though.

Apparently you're having trouble telling the difference between a fetus inside a woman's body and a child in school. Also you're bad at sarcasm.

So these would be the kids you don't have because you're not a parent? I'm confused.

I'm a grandparent. Yes, I do fight for my kids who are parents.

I believe he either has stepkids or didn't abort all of his own.

If ANYbody thinks their kid hasn't been exposed to TONS of sex on the internet long before their parents get around to "the talk" then they're either kidding themselves or they have their kids tied up in the basement. But a sex ed teacher should be there to answer their questions and filter through the misinformation. It was easier in the old days. My dad's method was to make me read this book before he would let me and my buddy go to see a film we wanted to see (Disney's The Black Hole - a weirdly downbeat attempt to hop on the Star Wars bandwagon)

Hard to believe that people who looked like that got to have sex. Ah, the 80s.

So you think you can be a grandparent without being a parent? Skip to the easy part?

Probably your adult kids don't really need your help. Their job is just to come over and mess with your TV when you're not looking so you can't watch Fox any more.

To put it simply, I'd rather you, kingspeed or Yamtastic teach my grandchildren on any subject you could teach over the guy who doesn't want sex education taught in schools. Trust is important to me. Diversity is important to education and child development and over all a healthier society.

I'm insulted that you wouldn't want a dog teaching them.

You're right. Education dollars should not be tied to property taxes. It should be based on how much it takes to provide a good building, a great curriculum, and great teachers for a given area for moderate sized classes.

And it should be federally funded to teach a real world and fact based curriculum.
