The fish market in Papeete' in Tahiti is also very cool. We got there about 5 AM on Saturday morning and the fish market was just opening. All kinds of fresh seafood to see there.
30k miles for economy, 45k miles for Premium, 60k miles for business. All one way. That's pretty much their standard for most major long haul routes. We will probably hit up Moorea, it's conveniently located and cheap enough to help stretch the budget. So far I am thinking 2 nights in Papeete downtown, then maybe catch the ferry to Moorea for 5 or 6 days before catching a flight to Bora Bora. That all would probably leave enough time for one more island.
Canada implementing random covid testing on vaccinated travelers again coming by air. Unfortunately it starts before I get in on Thursday night.
Request asylum. They can't test you if you claim you are being politically prosecuted for not wanting the vaccine in the USA. Also never take legal advice from a dog.
LIE DAMMIT, LIE! California's liberal overlords have taken away the rights for you to control your own body.
Decided to extend our trip our Seattle trip a couple days and take a ferry out to Victoria for a night. Still haven't decided on the exact proposal spot yet. Too many options and am still waiting on the damn ring to get here.
With my daughter headed to Tucson for college we are looking at flight options. What is the best place to get the lowest fairs? We had several trips bought through Allegiant since they flew from Redmond to Phoenix Mesa, but they just suspended all flights out of Redmond so trying to figure out our best options. We can drive and fly from Portland or Eugene if need be.
You can look up who flys where by looking at an airports wiki page. Go to the airlines and destination tabs. You can also use flights in Google to get a general idea, but it doesn't cover all the airlines. It's usually best to book directly with the airline, that makes changes easier and you are not paying a middle man. If it's a route and airline you plan to use a lot then your best bet might be to get their credit card for miles to maximize benefits.
Canada is great. So clean. People are so nice. Did go to Chinatown to get some pastries that we used to go when i was a kid. Holy shit they just dump all the problems there and the rest of the city is just great. East Vancouver is a fucking mess. Rest of city is better than anywhere else I've been. I did accidentally leave my "US Wallet" and my wife's car keys in the hotel safe. They called me when I was at the airport letting me know they found it. D'oh
