He would almost certainly have plenty of guns, but he was far smarter than MAGA.

Otherwise he would have been on Britain's side, dreaming about the good old days when everybody was loyal to the crown.

During and After Valley Forge, he was susceptible to giving it all up. He had to be thinking "what am I doing this for".

I hope Joe gets through this covid...he's slow to beat it so far. He's actually doing more than he gets credit for considering what he inherited with the job.

Joe Manchin’s Price for Supporting the Climate Change Bill: A Natural Gas Pipeline in His Home State

To accommodate the West Virginia senator, Democratic leadership agreed to legislation streamlining permits for the often-stalled Mountain Valley Pipeline and removing jurisdiction from a court that keeps ruling against the project.

    https://www.propublica.org/article/manchin-gas-pipeline-climate-change-bill

Democrats removed the jurisdiction from a court that kept ruling against the project. Democrats removed jurisdiction from a court to appease Joe Manchin.

Democrats clearly don't care that Joe Manchin is "bought and paid for", since they are also "bought and paid for" politicians...

Or maybe that's just the price that must be paid. Democrats have zero leverage to get Manchin's vote without this.

Would you rather have this bill, or no bill?

    Politics necessarily involves compromise.

Nothing wrong with a natural gas pipe line.

By not mentioning it in your post. You seem to be saying that you are fine with democrats removing jurisdiction from a court to appease Joe Manchin.

If the democrats can't get their way, they simply change the system to fit their opinion. That seems very much like a republican to me.

Compromise is the name of the game to get things done in Congress. Its nothing new between dems and repub's. Personally I dont have an issue with a natural gas pipe line.

Make a concession to get the positives in the bill or be pure and get nothing.

Reminiscent of people too pure to vote in 2016. Worked out great, didn't it?

Senate Barely Approves Scaled Back Legislation on Climate, Taxes, Healthcare

But thanks to Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), there was a huge, last-minute win for the private equity and hedge fund industries

Kyrsten Sinema, Another "bought and paid for" traitor getting the job done for their rich donors.

Republicans are wolves, while the democrats are wolves in sheep's clothing.
