$5 Clyde $5 Sheed $3 Pip $1 Blake $1 Meyers Clyde, Sheed & Pip for obvious reason. Blake because of frequency. Meyers because Sheed needs someone to throw a towel at.
The problem with not taking a Dame or Clyde is who is your #1 option going to be? Sheed is awesome but he never really wanted to be the guy.
I like this lineup; the speed and length is off the charts, and Sheed at center will cause problems for other teams, as long as we force our style of play on them. This team scores 130 a night and wins 55-60 games. Championship? Probably not, but wow it'd be a fun season.
I gotta say if Damon was playing today with the teams Dame had, he'd probably have the same number of 50+ point games as Dame. Dunno if his record would be better than Dame but yeah.
Correct. Additionally a healthy Sabas, which we never saw in Portland, would be worth more then $5 STOMP
You just changed the criteria from a theoretical healthy version of Oden to him being unable to play. The logic behind slotting him in at $1 is he's somewhere in between. My list would be focused on switchable size, fit, 2-way players, and athleticism, more or less in that order... $5 Clyde $5 Sheed $3 Pippen $2 Wes Clyde and [late career] Pip would overwhelm any backcourt that doesn't include Jordan and/or LeBron, and they would compliment each other quite well. Wes is a bit of an odd duck with that duo, but you need to surround them with shooting, and it gives you three guys who can guard 1-3. Sheed is a pretty obvious choice if surrounded by good character guys that would help him keep his cool. Size at the 4/5 is the only real concern, but that lineup would fit in nicely in the modern game. Unfortunately, I'm left looking for vet minimum ring chasers for the 5th spot... If forced to play by the rules, I would exchange Wes for Bonzi and Blake.
