I like this as a Bull versus Gull style. Neither is going to stop LeBron, but depending on the style of wing, they could disrupt a lot of players by trading off at PF.
This is fun, my first choice is this. This team is insanely talented and has a good match of defense, outside shooting, experience, and pairs Dame with what he’s been missing over the years. PG - Dame $5 SG - Bonzi $1 SF - Pippen $3 PF - Sheed $5 C - Oden $1 Alternatively, I really like this team too. PG - Porter $4 SG - Roy $5 SF - Pippen $3 PF - ZBO $2 C - GO $1
Don't understand why people would want Oden. Oden, when he played, wasn't that good. He had a few good games before he went down in 2009 but that was a small sample size. For the most part, he was a guy who got stripped in the post and fouled a lot. That's why he's a $1 and if that's the way you want to spend your money.... I do like that lots of people picked Sheed. Best two way player we've ever had.
He's #1 because his knees Benjamin Buttoned. Had he been able to stay healthy, he could have been an elite center.
GO did turn the ball over too much but in his second and final season playing with us he averaged 11 points on 60% shooting, got 8.5 boards and 2.3 blocks per game while only playing 24 minutes. He did average 4 fouls but in 24 minutes that means he could have gotten to 30 minutes before picking up his 5th and becoming a liability. If he could have played 30 minutes a game scored 14 very efficient points, pulled down 11 boards and blocked three shots per game... even with 5 fouls and 2.5 turnovers, that would have been great for what the team needed. If Oden could have stayed healthy he would have picked up a lot more about the game and he would have been an all star for sure and probably a multiple time all nba player. If Oden and Roy's knees would have held up we would have won multiple championships. BRoy leading the offense, GO leading the defense and LMA filling in would have been an amazing three player core. It doesn't matter though because neither guys' knees could sustain the rigors of the NBA.
If it's a team of 5 great starters probably don't need a "#1" option Sheed won a title with the Pistons having such a team.
W/o money limit I take the $5 guys but Cliff in place of LMA. Dame Roy Clyde Cliff Sheed Cliff had great D and good 3point shooting. Offense would be incredible, frontcourt would give good defense. Put Pippen and Wes in place of the backcourt and there's an argument that amazing D would make the team better than DameRoy offense.
Sheed didn't have to be #1 on that team. Big shot Chauncey and Rip Hamilton could share those duties.
always been my guy, im a stoudamie supercollector https://www.flickr.com/photos/damonite/albums and he even follows me on IG
