I'd like to see more of our real lineup.

Othmann is sent back to juniors. Henriksonn and Lindbom got cut too. What a waste of draft picks by Gorton and Clark.

Othmann is a stud but he’s 19. The other two guys suck

If the Rangers put Gauthier on the first PP unit and he scored some, his confidence would be up and he would finish. Not that I would do that but if I was a team like Chicago, I would trade for him, do that and watch his value go up.

Gauthier has a low hockey IQ. He’s got some tools but no brains

The guy doesn't know how to finish. He is fast, he is physical, he can put stress on the opposition especially on the rush but, he has proven time and again he can't finish. No amount of PP time is going to change that.

Gauthier will be lucky to make the team, no need to waste PP time on him. There is no way of knowing who GG is playing come opening day other than he gives the ice time to guys that earn it.

So glad you think more icetime time and pp time won’t develop a player. Gallant must subscribe to your fucking stupid thinking with Lafreniere and Kakko.

Honestly I don't get the point of trying to give PP time to Gauthier. He's a fucking replaceable role player. Why not give PP time to Hunt?
How about if Gallant does a better job managing the PP time between the 1s and 2s? He obviously wants to have two Cs on the first PP so that's Zib and Trochek. Kreider plays net front and Panarin (arguably the teams best playmaker) on the wall. Roll with Chytil, Laf and Kakko on the 2nd PP.
Whatever, the season hasn't started yet and Drump is already losing his shit about PP time. Can't make this shit up.....

    You're not paying attention, though.

Dump already said he wouldn't give Gauthier PP time on this team (given the talent we have ahead of him), but that a team like Chicago should to increase his value then presumably flip him for another asset. His next post is an overall sentiment that giving a player (any player) PP can increase his confidence, which should be pretty obvious to anyone that it does/can.

A lot of finishing is all about confidence. If you look at Gauthier, he was a prolific goal scorer in the AHL. He got a ton of PP time. Then he comes here and is denied that. Lafreniere and Kakko same thing. They are just more talented than Gauthier so they can score some. It's the same story. The Rangers are fucking incompetent developing young forwards. It's obvious.

I can see Gauthier or Hajek being an add-on if they trade for Kane, as the Hawks will have plenty of ice time in the next few years for people like that.

By all means if the Rangers can get some assets back for Gauthier I am all for making a deal.

Looking at Gauthier you think can't miss with the size and speed like Carolina did but I think he's had ample opportunity to show the Rangers something, anything but we've seen nothing.
