Dynamic Daniels, LSU, roar back on No. 7 Ole Miss, 45-20

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels' dynamism has bamboozled defenses in back-to-back games.

Daniels ran for three touchdowns and passed for two scores, and LSU roared back from an early two-touchdown deficit to hand No. 7 Mississippi its first loss this season, 45-20 on Saturday.

No. 1 Georgia pulls away late, wins 'Cocktail Party' 42-20

Top-ranked Georgia expects to eventually benefit from a game like this. It might happen next year. Or maybe next week.

Daijun Edwards and Kenny McIntosh ran for two touchdowns each, and the Bulldogs pulled away from Florida following a second-half scare to win 42-20 Saturday night in the rivalry dubbed ''the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.''

Brady Cook directs Missouri past No. 25 South Carolina 23-10

Brady Cook didn't let Missouri's early struggles this season change his outlook on what the Tigers could accomplish. He made sure his teammates wouldn't let that happen, either.

Cook and the Tigers, who opened 0-3 in Southeastern Conference play, directed three long, first-half drives to built a 17-0 lead on the way to their 23-10 victory over No. 25 South Carolina on Saturday night.

No. 1 Georgia shuts down QB Hooker, No. 2 Tennessee, 27-13

In the biggest games, Stetson Bennett seems to rise to the occasion and above his often more heralded counterparts.

Bennett threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score as No. 1 Georgia shut down Hendon Hooker and the Vols' high-powered offense to win a Southeastern Conference showdown of the nation's top-ranked teams 27-13 Saturday.

No. 1 Georgia tops Kentucky, goes unbeaten in SEC again

Between Kenny McIntosh and Jack Podlesny, top-ranked Georgia got all the important points it needed on a day where style points weren't possible.

McIntosh rushed for a career-best 143 yards, including a crucial 9-yard score late in the third quarter, and the Bulldogs withstood Kentucky's fourth-quarter rally Saturday for a 16-6 win and its second consecutive unbeaten season in the Southeastern Conference.

Daniels, Cain power No. 6 LSU to 41-10 victory over UAB

The hollering of exuberant LSU players penetrated the walls of their locker room and echoed in neighboring rooms and hallways beneath the north end zone stands in Tiger Stadium.

The rowdy celebration was more about the energy and sense of purpose the sixth-ranked Tigers exhibited in a cold, wet, half-empty stadium against a heavy underdog than the mere fact that they won a game they were supposed to win.

Daniels completed 22 of 29 passes for 297 yards and ran for 111 yards on 12 carries. His top target was receiver Malik Nabers, who caught seven passes for 129 yards, including a 47-yarder on LSU's first touchdown drive. Brian Thomas also had a late TD catch for LSU (9-2).

Daniels was gratified by how his unit played one week after largely stagnating in a tense 13-10 victory at Arkansas the previous week.

Kiffin plans to return; No. 20 Ole Miss falls to Bulldogs

Mississippi State coach Mike Leach admitted the Egg Bowl series with Ole Miss ranks among the nation's elite rivalries in unpredictability.

''Both sides let the other think they'd won it,'' Leach said. ''It was erratic on both sides. Just about the time you think it couldn't get any crazier, it did.''

Will Rogers passed for two touchdowns and Mississippi State stopped a potential game-tying 2-point conversion with 1:25 remaining to preserve a 24-22 Egg Bowl win over No. 20 Mississippi on Thursday night.

No. 1 Georgia overcomes slow start, routs Georgia Tech 37-14

A perfect regular season isn't good enough for Stetson Bennett and No. 1 Georgia.

Bennett threw two touchdown passes and Georgia completed back-to-back undefeated regular seasons for the first time in school history by overcoming a slow start to beat Georgia Tech 37-14 on Saturday.

No. 9 Tennessee routs Vanderbilt 56-0 in rain for 10th win

Josh Heupel walked into a mess at Tennessee with players running for the transfer portal after the university fired the previous coach and nine others in January 2021.

Now Heupel and his Vols can point to a very quick turnaround with the promise of much more to come.

Jaylen Wright ran for 160 yards and two touchdowns on five carries, with Jabari Small running for two more scores as ninth-ranked Tennessee never trailed in routing in-state rival Vanderbilt 56-0 on a rainy Saturday night.

South Carolina beats Clemson for 2nd straight top-10 win

Some teams would have been content with a season-defining win over top-10 foe Tennessee. Not South Carolina and certainly not Gamecocks quarterback Spencer Rattler.

South Carolina followed up its 63-38 stunner over the Vols last week with a 31-30 victory over No. 7 Clemson on Saturday, ending the title chances of a College Football Playoff contender for a second straight week.

Levis, Ruffolo carry Kentucky past rival Louisville 26-13

A rivalry game was just what Kentucky needed to snap out of a second-half tailspin and play the way it wanted.

Will Levis passed for two touchdowns, including a 3-yarder to Barion Brown in the third quarter, Matt Ruffolo kicked a career-best four field goals and the Wildcats topped archrival Louisville 26-13 on Saturday for their fourth consecutive Governor's Cup victory.
