I never would expect 52 again but Kreider needs to stop the disappearing acts.

He's done that his entire career. Another reason for him not to see consistent first PP time.

I hate to say it but I find this team to be very uninteresting this year. Last season I did my best to watch as much of their games as possible and really enjoyed the games. I'm struggling to get into them at the moment, just very boring games and i find myself tuning out. I will put the blame on me still having a rooting interest in the World Series this year...maybe once that is over I'll get more into the Rangers.

Agree. They are boring because the coach is making the same fucking mistakes with Lafreniere and Kakko on the PP. Gallant is under the moronic impression that his vets will be better than other teams vets and they can win the cup. They can't. They will never win the cup until Kakko and Lafreniere are on the first PP unit. These have to be two players that lead the way to a cup. I would split up the PP units. Let Goodrow stand in front on the second pp unit. Make Panarin the one time option like Zibanejad is which will force him to shoot more. I put Lafreniere on RW for one timers and Kakko in the high slot. So now you have two one time options. Same with Chytil on the second PP unit. It's common sense but Gallant is too stupid to figure it out.

    Kakko-Kreider-Lafreniere
    Zibanejad-Fox

    Trochek- Goodrow-Chytil
    Panarin-Trouba

Wait - you want Lafreniere and Kakko on PP 1 - wow you sprung that out of nowhere. You haven't mentioned that at all 76545638957 times in every post. I agree. If those guys were on PP1, they'd be the best players in the NHL, the team would go 82-0, and a SC would be a lock. That really is the whole issue with everything. If only those guys were on PP1 instead of Trocheck and Panarin we'd be set.

And I totally agree with taking maybe our best player Panarin off of PP1 for Kakko, who still has a ton of growth and work to do. Totally a logical play.

But that's that though. Put those guys on PP1, and 3rd line depth is no issue, 3rd pair LD is no issue, all is solved. Pretty straightforward really.

Fox needs to start using his great wrister more on the pp, along with Kreider getting around the net. Panarin is doing a little too much weaving instead of shooting.

After his shit playoffs Panarin is owed nothing from this organization as far as pp time. He gets paid a ton. He can suck it up.
